Instead of vibrating like a normal speaker the nanoparticals heat up and expand and contract producing the sound

This nanotube speaker is closed to transparent when stretched. Thus, will be applied on ceilings, jackets, TV screens...

One major disadvantage is that it can only act as speaker, but cannnot as microphone.

Why is that a "major" disadvantage? You're reply is like "ZOMG... These things sucks, we can't use them as microphones!!" It's not like they were originally intended to be used as microphones.

without researching... FACT: carbon nanotubes can now produce a current from heat. making this the new world most interesting material. some scientist are saying maybe in 50-75 years we can be wearing a full suit that can be bullet proof and of course super light weight. scientist in the navy already found out how to make a fabric out of it.
