I am a bit lost in the video you say u did 2 sc then 3 dc but below u say 2 dc then 3? But another question is when u finished the 3 dc do u then keep doiing 3 dc or do u have to increase more by doing 4 dc then next row 5 dc?
no its not written anywhere....its just make a long chain....for your first row, do 2 double crochets into each stitch along the row...when you reach the end, chain 3 and turn for your second row, do 3 double crochets into each stitch along the row...this causes it to curl up......and if you have enough yarn for your third row you can single crochet into each stitch...it might be an idea to make a short piece to practice on so you get used to the feel of the fabric curling xx .
@fill9twos its just a long chain and then first row is 2dc into each stitch along then turn for next row chain 3 up then 3dc into each stitch from the previous row and that will make it curl, turn and chain 3 up and next row is 3dcs into each of the previous row stitch and if yuu want to you can finish it with 1 sc in each for your last row....:) I hope that helps x
Quick question - once you make your original chain... does the length of the scarf shorten drastically after it start to spiral? I'm just trying to figure out if I need to accommodate my chain length for that. Thanks, I really love this and can't wait to finish and wear this!
@GeekGirl611 yes the chain does shorten so I would recommend making a longer chain than you need and then leaving a length of it unworked if you think its rather too long when you have completed your first row..:) i oftern do this and then unpick the un used chains...just make sure you chain nice and loose and your slip knot is not to tight! :) good luck and post a pic when its finished in reply to this video! I would love to see your finished scarf! xx happy hooking x

i would change yarn colour at the begining of a new row, but its up to you really, you create your own master piece x
