great cover, but dude.. that snare.. can i suggest loosening the snare wires because it sounds like they're too tight and being choked.. looser the snares the better the response.. and crank that top head up a bit... or throw some moon gell on there to kill the ring.

Nice nice nice ^_^ Only complaint I have is that it sounds like you've battered that snare for a while lol. You've got the crunch on the bassdrums just perfect, but for lack of a better term, you need more of a deep slam on the snare and you've got it : )

what i use to cut the ring on my snare is a microfiber/glove cloth tho any fairly thick fabric clamped to the edge.

=) thanks man. thats actually my snare it was a bit ringy for some reason. you can hear the snare of the original at 0:03.

nope its not triggered. ive placed the bassdrum mic as close to the head as possible and then basically just equalized it and thats what came out.

ive tried tightening and loosening the head but i could play either way. shoes helped though:P

but yeah, the 'tight' sound mainly comes from EQ-ing.
