Did you break front shafts? Is that why you are running the yukon chromoly fronts? I'm getting ready to roll-out a 78 Bronco. Stock-shafts, lockers front & rear. What's the future?
@RTFLDGR I broke shafts running 35s...the 38s are really pushing it even with the chromoly shafts. They yoke ears usually break, possibly due to u-joint failure.

badass truck, screw the haters. I miss my bronco sold it for a suburban to make room for my troop of kids. The thing that helps the broncos is get more flex out of the suspension and it wont be as tippy and you will get better traction.

@MrStryperfan Paid 500 for the truck, 1000 for the boggers and wheels in almost new condition, 225 for the rear detroit off ebay, bout 250 for the spartan front locker, 350 or so for the yukon chromoly dana44 shafts, 6-700 for the lift and about 600 for the winch.

@3wheelerforlife That's actually how a detroit locker works. It ratchets on turns to allow differentiating wheel speeds. Under throttle, it locks up. In the case of when I was on my side, it was free to ratchet, which explains the clicking sound.

A 2 door Explorer can not take the punishment that the 1978-79 Ford Bronco can take. It is bullet proof. C6 transmission, Ford 9", NP205 transfer case.....and the list goes on.... Are you serious, Jeepster? FYI, Jeeps suck!

i own a 79 bronco it blue i built that beast when i was 14 it has the 351 motor but with holley carb elderbrock header and air intake manifold magnaflow dual straighpipe exhaust with glass pack tips it my baby it been with me 2 hell and back
good tires and you have balls not to destroy but have fun. i have a 95 dodge longbox ext.cab. put posi in the rear and it kicks better ass now. also have 36" toyo open country tires....lets go 4x4ing
Not much of a dent. She's not exactly a beauty queen anyway. Makes it that much easier taking her wheeling when you aren't concerned about scratches and dents.
very nice trail youre making! used to do a bunch of crawling with my buddy in his '79 (lockers f/r, 6" suspension and 35"s), and when it started to teeter...it made both our buttholes pucker. now his rolls 38"s and is built for mud. i gotta find me a hiboy or bronco now!
I use to own 435 acres of mostly wooded land that had miles of logging trails that looked just like this. When I moved in I was the first person to wheel the property in 23 years and It was a blast. I would wheel from sun up to sun down with my 78 Bronco every weekend and camp in the woods with my wife and live off deer meat and fish caught in the gorge. Ah the good ole days. Thanks for bringing up those memories.

Dude!! That is one of the best I have seen for Bronco's or any trail blazing. A lot of the time you dont get the feeling of just how steep a hill is but this was awsome. Good Job!!

i own a 79 bronco it blue i built that beast when i was 14 it has the 351 motor but with holley carb elderbrock header and air intake manifold magnaflow dual straighpipe exhaust with glass pack tips it my baby it been with me 2 hell and back

very nice trail youre making! used to do a bunch of crawling with my buddy in his '79 (lockers f/r, 6" suspension and 35"s), and when it started to teeter...it made both our buttholes pucker. now his rolls 38"s and is built for mud. i gotta find me a hiboy or bronco now!

I use to own 435 acres of mostly wooded land that had miles of logging trails that looked just like this. When I moved in I was the first person to wheel the property in 23 years and It was a blast. I would wheel from sun up to sun down with my 78 Bronco every weekend and camp in the woods with my wife and live off deer meat and fish caught in the gorge. Ah the good ole days. Thanks for bringing up those memories.
