  • Why you don't play song from between the buttons?

  • were did u get that awsome guitar at.

  • Great cover as ever, the best version on Youtube so far. I would really love a lesson of this, if possible, i mean, it's the most famous Rolling Stones track and i'm still figuring out how to play it in perfect Keith style. Greatings from Italy.

  • Hello great vid what was Ron doing on the other guitar ?

  • @jsteelman1000 Ron Wood? He didn't join the band until 10 years after this song was recorded.

  • dude your guitar is amazing

  • Love this, but I am still yet to hear anyone who has the perfect fuzz sound! I'd love to know the combination!

  • @nostalgiaramanny I think the correct combination includes Keith Richards' limitless talent, a decent guitar, an experienced recording engineer, an inventive producer, and a multi-million-dollar recording studio. That would probably get you pretty close.

  • @nostalgiaramanny The late Brian Jones played that fuzztone riff on a Vox guitar with a Fuzztone Box...........You can hear that same tone in David Bowie's song Fashion.

  • @jacopman That's the first time I've ever heard anybody say Brian played the main riff. Even Keith himself says he played it. Whenever they did it live back in the Brian Jones period, Brian always strummed the chords and Keith did the riff.

  • your telecaster is beautiful awesome playing!!

  • Which settings did you dial your guitar and amp's tone and volume knobs to in order to get this tone? And which pickup are you using? (Again, thank you so much for all your feedback!!!)

  • @privettricker

Do you know that Elliot Easton of The Cars owns a left-handed version of your EXACT guitar, paint and everything? I just noticed that!

  • This guitar looks very similar to James Burton's famous pink guitar he used alot with Elvis Presley live. Is it in anyway the same one? Coz it sounds SO good

  • some1 give the man some satisfaction ffs

  • privettricker Y U NO make a band and emite an awesome EP !!

  • just stumbled onto this video.. thanks very cool.. your tele is sweet too, can't tell if it's tangerine or fiesta red..

  • @jdugak727 It's actually pink.

  • I have a Vox Tone bender Fuzz but u still sound better HUZZAH!!!!

  • @tricorn1776 i think he just uses his Marschall Amp

  • For awhile there I thought you were probably a famous guitarist, then I saw your face in your Led Zeppelin-10 years gone cover, fun while it lasted, your still the greatest guitarist I've ever seen on YouTube. :)

  • someone likes to show off their small richard...

  • penis power chord

  • wow amazing job! a tribute to the rock gods

  • by the way did you ever do Devil with Red Dress (Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels?). ,,,,,, just sayin'

  • I like all the fill ins you do. They really give the music depth.

  • that guitar is from elvis his guitarist

  • this guitar cover is the real original thing for 100% : )

  • Good lesson !

  • I have a williams audio tone bender mk11, you should check it out, it's the best sounding sola sound copy I have ever heard. I use it a lot sounds great on this song for sure.

  • I didn't understand if you use a tone bender or other fuzz.thanks you for the answer!

  • @pierpimazz I didn't use any pedal at all on this one (and I rarely use pedals on any of my videos).

  • @privettricker how can I get this sound (very similar to the original) with just the amp? can you give me the settings?

  • pt iv been watchin ur covers 4 a pretty long time and i have to say ur covers blow all the others right out the water!one question though what your amp setting(if u can remember!)

  • I would kill for your tele and your skill ;) Cheers!

  • PLEASE PUT UP TABS FOR THIS!!! PLEASE!!!

  • and the 69 version live svp ! (ya ya's version),

  • dude, you have a beautiful guitar man, you´re a lucky man

  • You play good! The only thing I wanna ask is ironically NOT about the cover but about the Telecaster. That's a custom paint isnt it?

  • @vish11firefly Fender used to make these from the factory

  • I would like to ask a couple of questions about technique in here .. I have the main comp down after watching you do it. On the songs main riff, you seem to damp the strings twice after the B note, 5th str, 2nd fret .. am I getting that correctly? You're using your pinky where I might use my ring finger ... personal style or technical reason .. if you could comment on these points I would appreciate it .. this section of the song has escaped me for years.. thanks to you I now have it.

  • @pyrsconr Can you give me the time code of the part you're talking about.

  • @pyrsconr .. the first time you do it is at the 7 second mark .. but you do it consistently when playing the main riff .. you play the B note with index finger twice and appear to damp, (with the other 3 fingers), twice ... before moving to C# and D ... or is that just hand motion from pulling a bit ...

  • @pyrsconr I'm actually muting it purposely. If you listen, Keith stops that B note dead most times he plays that main riff, and he only lets it sustain a couple of times through the song. Of course, I didn't bother to memorize when he stops it dead and when he lets it ring!

  • @privettricker Ok .. that's great .. I am trying that but all I hear is my finger banging on strings ... more practice .. the pinky thing .. personal style or technical reason ...

  • @pyrsconr The pinky thing is personal style. I do some fingerings differently than most players. Heck, I don't even do fingerings the same way every time.

  • @privettricker Many thanks ...

  • that is the best looking Tele i have ever seen im so jealous

  • please do a lesson :) great playing

  • Done with feeling _____

  • Great job on covering this, and for having for having the greatest looking Telecaster.

  • any chances of a tab?

  • @privettricker please give me the tab

  • Always tried to do those verse fills using open chords. What a dummy. Thanks again.

  • Fuckin' blew my mind. Nice job!

  • i love that paisley tele

  • Really enjoying these.

  • Nice Tele It has well rounded tones

  • Very good... Did you take lessons or have formal training?

  • Can you please do a lesson of this?

  • I remember when this song first hit the radio. It was so cool with the nasty fuzz riff and rough lyrics. The surf tones too were so cool. It is still the most thrilling song I've ever heard. It is the song that instantly made me love the guitar and rock n roll. I think I was 5 or 6 years old! To this day I can still feel that excitement I felt when I was a kid. Like your first beer or girlfriend.

  • At last the way it is played , great ! Thank you.

  • Awesome guitar and playing! Congrats dude

  • These guitar covers are tits as fuck!

  • Great playing, great tone, great guitar. And yea, great song.

  • Can you tell me the preset which you use???

  • @bebbo203 Huh? Preset?

  • @bebbo203 he is not using guitar rig....

  • @MaxJamesExperience That's a reissue of a '68.

  • Great!!! Where did you get the tabs? I can't follow you :S

  • @argr2011 I don't use tabs.

  • @privettricker nice playing mate i get sick of people thinking that tabs is the only way. im like you never use them

  • Amazing. You're a great guitarist!

  • Great Job. I really like your videos. You're a great player.

  • Wonderful. Rock!!!

  • hey man you´re amazing, do you have tabs of your covers??

all of them are great !!!

  • What are the chords?

  • Dude, I could watch this video a thousand times and then watch it again and be completely satisfied. You hit Keef's tone on the head and you do mad justice to those licks in the verses. Kudos chief.

  • Did you use alot of distortion/overdrive on this song?

  • Love the paint job on this guitar, it looks the nuts!

  • pretty guitar... and also nice playing dude :)

  • you you didn't use a tone bender, which fuzz did you use?

    Raw and ranchy!

  • @yydmzkz09 I'm not using any pedal at all.

  • great job man.......and to the guy asking what model Telecaster he is playing it is a "Paisley Telecaster".......Rock on Dude and thanks for the lessons too !!!!!

  • nice work...

  • hey, can someone tell me the name of this guitar ? (: i'm soo in love with it LOL

  • @MYNAMEISIKN > fender telecaster

  • @MrPaTko1 I dont want to be rude, but THATS QUITE OBVIOUS. I mean i wanted to know the model of the Fender telecaster. If you guys need some help searching for it, i also found a guy playin it in an Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison video here it is --->|| w w w . you tube . c o m/ watch?v=v3T-7Xno4PE&feature=BFp&list=WL7A415176E3D177EE&index=47 || THANKS VERY GRATEFUL FOR HELP!

    (:

  • Outstanding! That's the sound! Yes, if you have the time would you be willing to do a lesson for this? You really have nailed it. The ''turn-around'' parts are really excellently done and dead on. Correct reverb sound too! Thank you for this!

  • Could you do a lesson of this? Everyone knows the standard riff, but I'd love to see a slowed down version which shows all the other licks he does throughout the song. Tab online never shows it.

    Awesome cover, great tone!

  • Is this in standard tuning or open G?

  • @respectmyauthority01 That's standard. Keith wasn't using open G until several years after this.

  • are u muting the low E string? is that how keith kinda got that chunky deep sound?

  • Nice guitar :3 like it

  • which model of gutarra where you bought it I really want to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow your A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!

  • So wow, this is amazing. You hit the nail on the head with the tone, and your technique is wonderful! Keep up the awesome work!

  • How do you play the verses???

  • You should do a lesson of this pal!!

  • u play by ear right? i play this by ear too cause every single tab is completely wrong lol...but to me..that part at 0:37 that u played...on the recording...doesnt in sound like a chord to u? i play an A chord on that part...i just love the verses in this song with that reverb and stuff...just dying to find out exactly what keith played lol

  • You like your strat or your tele better

  • Love your work

  • Had this guitar in the closet since 1983. Now I'm actually playing the thing!

Mostly thanks to your videos. THANK YOU!

  • excellent work man

  • great job as always

  • 5 Stars

  • lesson time

  • You always show us great guitar videos. Thank you.

  • how you getting your tone bud?

  • @ScullyboyDX This one just uses the gain on the amp. I tried it with a tube screamer, but I couldn't get a tone anything like Keith's so I kind of gave up and maxed the reverb (which is crucial to early Stones recordings).

  • @privettricker I am truly amazed at the diversity of styles you are able to perform flawlessly. You have the gift....If I could still play, I would give an arm to play like you.

Since you have done some James Taylor before, how about "There's something in the way she moves" which I consider one of his most moving songs, and I have never been able to really figure it out?

  • @luisgarcia28 --"Something" is George Harrison's Magnus Opus! The Beatles Abbey Road Album, circa 1970. Frank Sinatra called it one of the most beautiful songs ever composed.

  • @IdolHans I think he's talking about the song from James Taylor's first album, from which George borrowed that first line. James said he didn't even mind, since Something is such a beautiful song.

  • @privettricker --I've got that album on CD so I need to check it out. I ass-you-me that Taylor was covering George's song "Something". I like your fellow Tar Heeler there, from NC. The only song I know by him is "fire and rain"-----You've got a friend would be great to cover too!

  • @IdolHans The JT song is actually called "Something in the Way She Moves."

  • Nice. Good to see the due attention given the non-riff part of the song. Only thing missing is the click sound at 0:35 when Keith switches the fuzz box back on.

  • I guess PT ain't satisfied...needs to make more videos. Suits me.

  • Very good.ventilator blus.Thanks a lot.

  • This is your 666th video.

  • @SKejtzazivot The Rolling Stones' combined age these days is 666, so I guess this song is appropriate.

  • @privettricker Hahahahaha. :D

    You're totally right.

  • nice!!

  • cool !! stuff
