  • B.S. propaganda. This is not the real picture. Go to google and look up tar sands pollution and forget about this advertisement that just shows progress. But at what cost? Dead wildlife, people with cancer, oxycontin addiction, meth labs, alcoholism, workers separated from their families for months. There are oil spills all the time. Fresh water is being drained and left in sludge pools of the most toxic chemicals that are not even being reported. This residue will never be cleaned.

  • saying this is reversing the idea that were running out of oil is like finding an extra chip at the bottom of the bag and thinking hey, maybe the bag has unlimited chips!

  • where is your god now

  • I've got this DVD! Great show!

  • Alternative fuel?? F**k right off. This world is only going to get worse with people who demand alternative sources of energy to fuel their meaningless lives. Read a book with candle light and get a job within cycling distance of your home. I used to have such a high opinion of Canada, but really(like UK) they're just bitches to corperations that are bigger then them.

  • i love my job .. i enjoy driving the 797 everyday every seconde

  • @KainaCanada What company do you work for? Syncrude has a CRAZY fleet.

  • Brazil started looking into alternative fuel(sugarcane ethanol) back

in the 70's.Lets find a way to grow sugarcane as an alternative to

corn only ethanol. The only part of corn that is used, are the kernnels.

With sugar cane, there is no waste. For example:one acre of corn

yelds 150 gallons of ethanol....One acre of sugarcane will give you

300 gallons !!!!!!! The example given is to show yeld for

    comparison.

  • Doesn't mention with a word that the oil extraction from these bitumen deposits is a crime against humanity! Irreparable damage to Canadian ecosystems will result! We must overcome the oil addiction urgently! Oil dependency is artificialness created because large multinational companies will gain incredible power over people! Please Investigate 100% Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles is already possible! The Fourth Revolution is Energy Autonomy!

  • @usertogo I can only agree with you

  • @usertogo I can only agree.

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity.

Look for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in youtube video search. Join the Revolution!!

  • @cloudburstlenepmhq LFTR Liquid Flouride Thorium Reactor!!

  • Lets try to grasp the concept of power. People want power, some more then others. Power comes with money. The biggest money generating industry in the wolrd= energy/Oil. By luck, there is a lot in Alberta. Who has the most power in canada = the governement and private oil industries. Who wants to be more powerfull= them. At the cost of others. Albertas entire social structure is corrupt by the money comming from oil. People have money = comfort = indiference= dont want tosee the big picture.

  • we have oil sands in Pensacola now due to BP .)

  • people are misinformed about the tar sands you say? this video throws that comment right out the window, theyre trying to make it look like a good thing. take a look at some of the negative videos that show the environmental and health effects from the tar sands

  • @alienincognito people are misinformed about the tar sands you say? this video throws that comment right out the window, theyre trying to make it look like a good thing. take a look at some of the negative videos that show the environmental and health effects from the tar sands

  • @lucasisd the health effects are from fort chip, they do not produce a claim for oilsands, and they never will. i fish and release on the river when im on days off and have been for 8 years. i have never cought a deformed fish. yes its dirty but when we complete an area of a mine it is back filled and shrubs and trees are planted. give it about 30 years and you wont tell the difference between the untouched land and relaimed. take a tour up north and walk the reclaimed forest

  • Don't be so angry, flamer.

It's up to all people to do their part to conserve resources and recycle used goods.

It's proven that you Americans are the most wasteful, selfish people on the planet so you sould take a step back, re-evaluate , and maybe stop being such complete pricks. The whole world hates you, any guesses why??

  • @rubysue1 Beacuse they force us to destroy our country to fuel thier tanks, bombers, and wars.

  • Why does the soundtrack sound like a B-list movie

    same with the intro

  • Big Business has all the controls and Government regulates thier needs and this make for local decision makers a cayous structure. This is mega project is on Cree, Dene and Slavey Terrritory, to name a few Indigenous Nations effected by this project on a daily basis. Industrial Generating Companies need to regulated by the people most effected by their endless greed for control.

  • @makinamill your wrong, the first cree nation has no claim and they never will. that is why they say cancer rates this and deformed fish. i have never seen a deformed fish here and i fish every 6 days and have been for years on the athabasca.there are no confirmed cancer rate increases in fort mcmurray, fort mckay or wood buffalo to name a few. if you have ever been to fort chip, i suggest you compare fort mcmurray to fort chip. its like a 3rd world country,

  • @makinamill Ok then have every company leave and strip the natives of healthcare and leave them with the land the way it was. They wont share, then neither should the goverment.

  • 3 times as much oil as saudi arabia. That means, we can continue our american way of life for another 100 years!

Stupid Europeans! We will rule the world, while they will huddle in their tiny little electric cars and save a Megawatt of energy here and put another solar power plant there. Yes, and filter out and recycle every bit of plastic and paper and "Don't have too many children. We need to preserve our environment". Ridiculous!

Forward America! This is not time to stay behind!

  • @flamifer If you think oil sands can even produce 20 million barrels per day you are quite ignorant of the physical problems. We will have oil for thousands of year - but nowhere near the amount available on the market each day as we do now. That's the problem. The easy to get oil is gone, that's the cheap stuff. How much of a fuel cost increase can your economy take? Two times? Four times?

  • @bdist even if it is the cheap stuff.. we wouldnt be upgrading and going into the process of trippling our output to supply our neighbour. you say we cannot upgrade to supply america? you are completely wrong, have you been here? i live and work here and we have people working here from all parts of the world on contract. dont tell me it cant be done there is 6billion + people people ready to work to pay their bills. go back to future shop and sell t.vs you goof

  • @flamifer i wouldnt bash anyone of any country, as they have all invested in our projects which inreturn we contract out jobs and that fuels our economy. who cares where its going? usa,china,europe... it doesnt matter. and to enlighten you... we have a WORLD supply of 5-7 years. we can supply north amerca only for about 75-100 if we meet koyoto sanctions on passenger vehicals

  • @flamifer you seriously have no clue. I try not to be biased towards Americans, but this is one on the most ignorant comments I've EVER read! sure there might be lots of oil there, but did you know that it takes 4 barrels of water to create 1 barrel of oil? did you know that the water level of lake athabasca has been cut in half due to the mining of oil? did you think at all about just how much gas those monster trucks are using up to mine the oil in the first place? Just bloody ignorant!

  • nerds

  • This is SO brutal. As a Canadian I am ashamed to say that my vote has counted towards this insanely destructive industry! Harper you make me sick - We don't expect much from you in Copenhagen! This video couldn't be any more biased

  • @jo123491

    Biased is an understatement.

Big Oil is allowed to regulate itself. Every month they have to submit a report saying how much emissions they have released into the atmosphere, how much Earth they've dug up, how much they've extracted, ect. Since they regulate themselves, all of the numbers we are privy to, could be much higher. I am ashamed to say that the Premier of Saskatchewan is wanting to invest in SK's tar sands, of which we have more of than Alberta does. :(

  • @Fabricated1337 maybe you know or dont know.. but saskatchewan has 300million barrels in south and a coal mine already processing your energy. also the saskatchewan delta, the exploration data confirms the oilsands in saskatchewan is between 600-1000feet below and lower in some areas. that means they dig and dig and dig until they hit. core sample data confirms it is mid grade 6% or less in all of sk, wait till alberta is depleted in 2050 and itll be extracted there

  • The vilest, most secretive, most pollutive of all "development" taking place in the world today. Just to make a few people mega-rich (oil company shareholders, corrupt politicians and enablers) an are larger than the United Kingdom is having its topsoil, bushes, trees, animals removed creating a series of toxic lakes, which in turn leaks into thje whole of the enormous Canadian North West.

This is a video made by the "enablers"

  • more oil,more oil,more oil,eheheheheh IM GOIN TO GET A BIGGER TRUCK!

  • the shitheads in the U.S. wont let us put a simple drill bit through the soil in Alaska reserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Note to Self: See Alberta before it is gone...

  • I don't understand why alberta still want to destroy the environnement by Tar Sand productions , in the Alberta undergroud still have more than 7 BB of crude oil and more than 200 TCF of Natural gaz ( doesn't included the CBM , Shale gas and tigh gaz), still have enough oil and gaz for the next 25 years of production without have all this horrible effects for the environnement .

  • it's nice to see a more pro-oilsands video...i believe most people are misinformed when it comes to the oilsands.

  • good
