This IS and will ALWAYS be the best Hulk movie . the 2008 was rushed and had the worst cgi effects I've ever seen . this one was totally AMAZING the directing , the script and Hulk LOOKS REAL !! i don't understand why many people prefer the 2008 film . Edward Norton sure did an awesome job playing brace but the way it was made was only for the cash and the preparation of the Avenger movie .

@Big12189 very good young one but one other reason why the father couldn't take the power is because unlike Bruce's transformation which is a miracle random series of events which led to the perfect circumstances of the hulk his father forced his transformation making him unstable so he couldn't take it but very good observation none the less:)

I really like how the 2003 Hulk movie explored the psychological aspects of the monster. However, me personally, I prefer the 2008 version mostly because that's the Hulk I've always wanted to see: fighting the Abomination in the streets in an all out brawl. If the 2008 version included thorough character development, I think it would have been one of the best Marvel films out there.

The "take it all" line refers to his power AND to his anger, because his father basically ruined his life, Bruce is allowing his dad to try and absorb the Hulk's power and, by extension, his anger, which are both boundless. So, his father can't absorb it all because Hulk's strength and Banner's anger are too much for one man, that's why he says "Think you can live with it?"

Previous to this scene Bruce and his father finally confronted each other in the first honest moment of their family lives, with his father saying that unlike the Hulk his altered DNA was unstable and he needed the Hulk's strength to fix it. After some drama, both of them transform and battle it out. When the Hulk realizes he can't win the conventional way, he allows absorbing man to take his power, which proves to be too much and ends up destroying him.
