  • Hi, I just bought a Q3. What sound quality settings do you set it to, and also what is your mic gain?

  • @RememberShinobi87 I record it in .wav format, 44.1 kHz, 16 bit, with the "auto" gain setting. Since the time I made this recording, I also discovered an optional setting in the menu to set the "lo cut" to on, which gets rid of some of the slight hiss. Hope this helps, and enjoy your new Zoom!

  • Lovely playing! Can I ask how long the batteries last with the Zoom Q3? I am seriously considering purchasing one but am concerned about battery life.

    Sing On!

  • @cpguerra Dang, I just noticed your question, cpguerra. It's probably way to late to help you, but I only get about 1.5 to 2 hours of battery life. In fact, I gave up and ordered the optional DC adaptor, which was WELL worth it!

  • good sound and clear picture i have one my self a zoom q 3 love it:) you find two videos with zoom q 3 of me , zoom 02 and zoom10

  • @pianomonica ok, sound great, when i was going and learn piano i play at home on a schimmel, but i love yamaha C3 and petrof too. hope you like my own made stuff here at youtube then enjoy:) i love my zoom q 3.

  • wow pretty cool a woman this age would even own a Q3 , they shouldnt even know what one is. lol

  • @quickmantan LOL! You'd be surprised at what us old farts can learn from hanging around young whippersnappers. ;-)

  • @pianomonica LOL yer i find it totally cool, could never imagine my mum or dad being so upto date hahah

  • @pianomonica

also forgot to say very nice playing you have natural talent.. i can feel that from your music.. take care ;-P

  • Nice breathing in your playing.

  • this is absolutely beautiful :) thank you so much for this piece

  • This is great stuff. Your Zoom Q3 is filling my whole house with gorgeous sound. Thanks for sharing.

  • beautiful song, beautiful playing

  • Monica, you play so beautifully, with such feeling! I got here from PianoWorld forum where I saw a YouTube link you posted. I can hardly believe that you haven't been playing very long. You have very nice timing and technique. Ludovico's music is so moving. I love your piano too. I haven't had the oportunity to play a M&H, but am looking forward to it as one of the dealers here is getting a 7 footer in soon. Hope you get a chance to check out my video of a friend playing my piano. Cary

  • MONICA, WHAT METHODS DID YOU USE IN YOUR LEARNING? YOU HAVE COME VERY FAR IN SUCH A SHORT PERIOD. I'D LIKE TO DO THE SAME (sorry for the lg caps. just saw them myself after typing my comment)

  • Hi teelions, I don't really have a method of self-teaching; I just play pieces that I love. However, while I'm self-taught on piano, I did have 7 years of accordion lessons as a child, which gave me a huge head start.

  • The gloomy lighting is perfect. You are something to watch; just you; so graceful and serene. I wish I could play like you. Beautiful music. you are awesome!

  • Ok Monica,

You just sold me on the Zoom Q3!

Very clear sound and exactly what I needed to see. You sound absolutely lovely. Subscribed!

  • Great job! I am not too familiar with this genre, and plan to watch your other posts. This is very relaxing to listen to. :-) 5-stars!

  • Amazing sound fidelity from the Zoom Q-3

    (just bought mine today)

PS: Love the sound of your instrument. Is it an A or a BB? What vintage?

  • Thanks! My piano is an M&H A, bought new in 2005 (my midlife crisis splurge, but well worth it!).

  • Thanks for posting great playing. As a musician just like you, I've been waiting for something like this...a pocket video camera like the Filip but with excellent audio quality.

  • Monica - I think the audio quality of this is quite good. I am able to clearly hear the lovely tone and harmonics from your M&H. As always your playing is first rate.
