at 4:37 what high way is the plane crossing I have never seen a motor way so close to a run way before is that the road that takes you into Paris itself?
I LOVE A330 and A340 ground operations. The not-so-great Airbus landing gear makes for much more excitement. No offense meant to Airbus-lovers--I'm one too!
salut je vx savoir si on a le droi de filmer dans lavion depuis le depart est l'arriver a se qui parais nn mais je voulais etes sur alors repond moi vite merci
@AF095 Agreed. The black boxes must be found...I heard that AF was going to start a new search for it in the coming months. Maybe someone else heard similiar?
i think they flew into a weather system, its happened before and broken a plane up in mid air eg. Braniff Airways Flight 250,Braniff Airways Flight 352, LANSA Flight 508. i know those flights were a very long time ago but the possibility should never be ruled out.
my thoughts are with the families of 447
lets hope there can be some closure to them aye :)
My guess would be to ensure all control surfaces (ailerons and spoliers visible here) have full range of movement prior to handing the aircraft to the next crew. This might be Air France procedure to prevent any delays of having the next crew find a problem once everyone is already on the aircraft.
Just a guess, but if anyone has the answer, please chime in.
the rule is not to use camcorders on take off and landing so you dont get distracted if an emergency happens, which wont! i was talking to a easyjet women and sghe said thats the rule but NEVER use phone coz the pilot cant listen to atc. so ur pretty much buggered then! mig air ccrashes happen when phones are involved apparently.
You know what you all, I was just wondering arent you supposed to turnoff all electronic devices just before take off and landing? So technically all these videos are illegal arent they?
Well, there is no law about it, just a rule. Also, the flight attendants have to stay seated during take-off and landing, so they cant catch you with it anyway.
You're aloud to take videos. I talked to some of the hub personel at Denver. It's legal. Pilots even take videos of them landing, and post them on Myspace and stuff. I've done that plenty of times. I also record it to show it to my children, it's totally legal.
how was the flight? i m planning to fly DTW-CDG ... does the A330 have personal entertainment systems or a common screen for the entire econ class (assuming u flew econ)
wtf? cars and airplanes share the roads at this airport
MrDuplex97 3 months ago
its legal to take videos but for most airlines your not supposed to have electronics on during takeoff or landing, its in the safety announcments

@tich302001 I don't remember which road specifically, but it's one of the main highways to take you in and out of CDG.

Let me ask u a question.
When the plane retracts its gear , do you feel that someone used a baseball bat to hit the floor.
Its a loud bang !!!
sealalula 2 years ago
On some planes
rhettski999 2 years ago
I was on Cathay Pacific's A330-300 thrice this year and twice , i sat near the wing.I heard that loud bang before landing.
When i sat beside the engines , there wasnt anything at all.

True, every jetliner is fitted with Reverse thrust and engineering at it's finest is correct!!
TheA330pilot 2 years ago
BAE146 doesn't have reverse thrust but most of the jetliners are fitted with them though.
charlieechovictor 2 years ago
I love the touchdown sounds on a330. It sounds like there is an increase of thrust.
I fly the A330 and it is a true pleasure to Pilot.
TheA330pilot 2 years ago
most every plane has that sound - reversers. Engineering at its finest. careful with ur pitot tubes though captain.

Possible.. an Air France pilot leaked that the airline had received a bomb threat 4 days before the crash of this flight
alecsmith 2 years ago
It wasn't leaked. It was reported in the news in Brazil. The cause of AF447 will take months to find out.
