Have you guys ever had the feeling of like what is the point of life. The world, god, heaven, hell, mysterys in this world. Why are you here. What happens when you die? Like really whats with the world? There are so many mysterys in this world that just can't be solved. You will think of it until then that one time it just comes up. Seriously has this ever happened to you. Really the point of the world and everything. The thing that most confuses me is that is heaven is real and after death?

i saw this movie today, and it is great. Alice Sebolds depiction of a middle earth type world is so rich and compelling. the afterlife is not what people are informed of, but of what we believe it is individually as a person.i highly recommend watching the movie.

@rupertpumpernik I can tell from merely receiving that message from you, that you are narrow minded and set in your ways. the novel Alice Sebold wrote is a very God-free heaven, with no suggestion that anyone has been judged, or found wanting, she even stated this herself. stop slandering movies with all this religion and moral views (you obviously grew up on) and enjoy it for what it is. ART. and i find it amusing of how you speak of the afterlife as if god himself sent you a welcoming package.

@rupertpumpernik, don't be so idiotic. This movie does not suggest nor lead you to believe that a Godless heaven does not exist. It is fiction. I'm Christian, and I know parading around other ideas doesn't make you look anymore devoted to God than the next person. Starting fights with people about God is so far from what we're supposed to do. Embrace the story as a huge part of it is extremely relevant to real life, and kut it out. It is an amazing film, and if you kan't see it, you're just lost

The only thing that this movie is relevant to in real life is that some directors aren't cut out to tackle certain stories. It's an amazingly atrocious movie that doesn't tackle any of the intricate details Sebold's novel embraced. Hell, it's so half-assed that Jackson ripped Susie's heaven right from the gospel of Vincent Ward. He was so busy humping the CGI machine that he FAILED ABYSMALLY to tackle the story.

@TheCanadianPrairies It would have been amazing if you saw the film before reading the book. Finding those little details that Sebold so cleverly hides in the story is a very creepy feeling. Amazingly atrocious is beyond off. This movie is one of the best, it might be my favorite film to date.
