  • Fucking hell...!!! Amazing...! Dam...! My British brother has done it again...

  • @wendellpeek It really is good to hear from you my friend.......geoff (williheckaslike) was asking if I had heard from you recently......now I can say yes I did...take it easy ........Kev......P.S. hows the CBG,s going ...have you gone into full time production yet???

  • i never practice shit......i am too old now to have time to practice..and if i cant do it by now.....i never will be able to play this damn thing......i just gotta do it....nice tune...i dont care for the whole recording process myself...its just....boring to me....twiddling with knobs and faders and looking at meters....damn....just tell me when to play....

  • @freeman2545 I can understand that....I tend not to practice much myself....if it doesn,t work by the second run through then its probably not going to....... but I do like messing with sounds and recording gear although most of my experiments never reach youtube....kev

  • @electricragtime ...yea...my little babies only get two or three chances to live...or they go...into ...song purgatory.....

  • hey just stopping by to say thanks for the compliments on my song with the same name. thought i'd listen to yours as well, and i'm really digging the tune! hopefully you'll post more of your stuff soon.

  • aye there gid guitars them , lol inspiring stuff man, cheers again

  • Really enjoyed this man. Cheers keV.

  • @tanglewoodtw400n ...Thanks... it was my second venture into computer recording and played on my tanglewood....just to see how it recorded.....Kev

  • This is really beautiful!

  • @carrolly2k ..Well thank you kind sir.... this was one of my first ventures into computer recording....and I was trying to fit the music to the video...some of it worked and some was a mile away but I enjoyed it...Thanks again...Kev

  • Very very nice tunes!

    A.D

  • @yetanothersongwriter Thank you....it was something that I enjoyed doing ...you know what its like when your sat noodling away on the guitar .....all of a sudden 3 hours have passed and you can,t remember why.......Kev

  • Amazing! See---now you need to do more of this shit! If this is off the top of your head, you are going to be jammin when you REALLY work somthin up...nice work with the video there, too, my man.

    Love it. Good stuff brother

  • @wendellpeek Thanks....I often just noodle around so I recorded the first bit and then just fit in around it....I was originally trying to get it to sound like just one guitar but it didn,t end up like that...but hey so what!

  • Man this contemplative piece is beautiful work, I love this zone in music .I could stay here for ages, a great place to be.The infinity of space in the video only adds to the chill out factor. No drugs here he he, just a long day at work...Well done friend..Digging that alternative tuning too!!Must have a go at that tuning..Great original piece.... Peace too..

  • You clever sod!! I def' echo Karls comments about this. Yes, the slight timing 'outs' (that you mention/imply) makes it sound v much like 2 guitarists- 'fitting in' in a live gig. The overall effect is very much like the effect Renbourne and Jansch got when they recorded 'Goodbye Pork Pie Hat' -to me anyway-that was the *sound*. Love the video graphics with this also by the way..Yes, more of the 'Brian Wilson producing meets Les Cousins era guitar' please. -Ian (with his Internet back today)

  • @ianmcgeachy Now then me auld mucker.....its nice to see you back amongst us... it was a straight "jam" whilst watching the video...the idea was for the music to fit the video...I think that some bits were successful but other bits are a bus ride out....I did this with the reaper software I told you about (thats if you got the message while your internet was down???)

  • Sounds good! Interesting blend, like them old 60s recordings by Davey Graham, Sandy Bull and such. The raga guitar thing. I like it, it's an interesting path. Some kind of separation of the guitars would increase the dynamics, as I see it. I'm looking forward to the next one (I know it's only raga roll, but I like it)! Kind regards! -karl

  • @karlake2 Hi Karl and thanks for the constructive comments....I was actually trying to get the guitar to sound like one ...but I didn,t pull it off.....I recorded both parts with the same guitar for just that reason.....I love this kind of guitar music and tend to spend hours just noodling around...but I am going to start recording more I think...thanks again mate...Kev

  • Beautiful work Kev.

    Bernard.

  • @bpvdd Well thank Bernard... I really enjoyed doing it....it was a nice challenge fitting music to a video...instead of recording a straight "performance" ...I think its something I would like to persue

  • Same here ~ I remember Small Hours ....... The one from Reading Uni .... (1975.... I think )...... Bloody Brilliant ~ I was hooked from then on ....

Keep on doing what your doing Kev ~ Geoff

  • This took me right back to the 70s, and clips on the old Grey Whistle Test .....

If you remember .... He used to play videos, from artist who could not make it to the studio .......

Great song Kev, and great video (where did you get the video from ?)

    Take care ~ Geoff

  • @williheckaslike Bloody hell "whistle test"....with whispering Bob Harris....I,ve watched some amazing stuff on there...thats what got me listening to john martyn ...

  • @electricragtime By, ...them were t'days weren't they...

  • Sounds great to me Kev, keep on noodling Mate, we all do it in one way or another and mess about with new technology, check out my Whitby Blues, played through a Tascam, it's very hard playing with yourself! :-)))

  • @Lansdownekid ...Thanks Harry...its the technology that has got me fired up again... I always found it easy playing with myself (just more fun with two)

  • Very interesting job, I liked it a lot. Ciao Marco

  • @marcoferrikito ...Thanks Marco.....much appreciated

  • Crikey, Kev! What a great sound. I guess you are hooked now. And ... congrats on the composition - it's a wonderful piece. I shall be listening out for more - the world is your lobster!

Thumbs and regards and I'll give it a go when I get chance.

  • @raffaport ...Well thank you kind sir......I,m just wondering if I should get caught up in your Elvis thing????? ....viva las vegas Maybe????

  • Go on, Kev, give it a go. I bet you've still got that white, sequined all-in-one outfit with the big belt at the back of the wardrobe!

  • @raffaport ..Whaddya mean at the BACK of the wardrobe.... I wear that every saturday night

  • I enjoyed listening! Wonderful song! Very relaxing. I always view solar winds as such violent things for some reason, and this song helped to calm the violent winds balancing the violent power with a peaceful energy...:-)

  • @GreatGig1 Thank you so much....that was the exactly the effect that I was trying to achieve
