I went to the local pick-a-part yard today to get some odds and ends, *some* of the cars DO end up in the junk yards to be picked off. I stress *SOME* not all.

Of course the engine is worthless, but if any in need of car body parts, head on out to your local pick-a-part junk yards NOW. Funny thing the cars I saw didn't get sprayed all over with paint either. Just chalk on the windows.

Well the CARS program has helped Ford sell a ton of foci. They are #1 in fact, with Toyota and Honda behind them in terms of what people are buying with their trade in money. Also a lot of "foreign" cars are built here in the U.S.A. The Toyota Camry is assembled in Kentucky and the Ford Fusion is assembled in Mexico. So you make the call.

The problem is where the profit goes. The Camry is assembled here with nearly 100% imported parts and 100% of the profit goes overseas. I also am hoping dealers can actually collect the funds, as less than 2% have been reimbursed so far. Focus is also not #1, its the Corolla, and 6 of the top 10 are Japenese, this is from the DOT list, not Edmunds which is consistently unreliable.
