  • england has some pretty big ass bugs..

  • Holy Wowza Donkey Balls in a barrel....this is epic.

  • they say filming with kids and animals is awkward, imagine doing it with insects!

  • Your house is like a hangout for nocturnal bugs!

  • the pink and yellow moth looks kinda fake. never seen one

  • @holymarine You've never seen one, therefore it's fake? That sounds a bit naive :P

  • aww yes. I had our house just infected with these HUGE moths that eat moths and they crowded around my light lol

you should go to Australia, they have amazing insects and wildlife

  • Very nice job of filming and editing....

  • yuk

  • I like how you made it so the moth flew off your your fingertip on the last beat of the measure at0:54 . It was a great touch, as well as the low swooping shots the various insects. I tried not make airplane noises. :-/

  • It's wonderful Kate, I love it.

  • Ok, so, I hate moths and maybugs - They scare me silly. So, as a result, I can't appreciate your video as much as I normally would. HOWEVER, I still think its a very cool and clever video :-)

  • enchanting little video, loved it

  • When you open the door they all get in your house and it's gross.

  • Luna Moth

  • Some of the moths we get at my house are simply gigantic, it's kind of unnerving actually... The hilarious part, though, is when a giant frog leaps onto the glass by the flood light and scares the bejesus out of the critters.

  • i hate bugs. specially moths... they freak me out.

    but nice video!

  • OMG eww... moths are horrible =[ theyre all...uugh, ew.. just no =[ ='[

  • wow that was great thanks for sharing

  • Thank you. That was truly beautiful!

  • really well done, like omg..

  • i loved da big colorful moths

  • That is stunning.

  • I'm not proud to say that here in the States we have lights that purposely attract bugs and then electrocute them.

  • It's everywhere.

  • Nice video.

On a more serious note it shows, why some environmentalists want different nightlights e.g. for the street enlightment that operate in a frequency range that doesn't attract/disturb insects.

( As many of you know those night-active insects usually navigate by the moonlight and try to keep a certain angle to it to find their way, so they are not really flying to the light, because they are stupid or bored. ;) )

  • This is easily my favorite video from your channel. When I was little, I liked to appreciate the little and simple things in life and still do, and this captures that very well.

  • made me shudder - not t greatest o bug fans... wot was the piece playin? sounded like a cross between Nyman, Satie and Einaudi

  • very tranquilizing... in a weird way, tho

i wonder how you fought off the temptation to squash all of these things

  • lol.. would be alot of bug juice

  • pleas tell me what the song is called! I BEG YOU !

  • wonderful vid

  • 0:43 was random

  • Woah.I'm usually grossed out by bugs, but this video is just amzing! The music especially makes it more special.

June Bugs & Bumble Bees are such fun to observe, as well as 'Lightning Bugs'. All harmless. Named my 1st Pekingese in

  • I tried to hate it but I loved it. Thanks Kate!

  • Great video. It really shows what very fascinating (even beautiful) creatures insects are. Except the mosquito, he's just a freaking assole, but the rest don't think of me as food, so they're cool :)
