Hon, most people start off as non-believers. God/the Holy Spirit just gets ahold of you at the most unexpected time/place sometimes and won't let you go. He doesn't want you to perish but to have everlasting life. It is a free gift, all you have to do is accept it. A sincere prayer is never meaningless although you may think so. You are on the prayer list written on my heart and on the Lord's. God Bless!
