I actually found the music that goes with this series. It is by an African a cappella music group called Sweet Honey In the Rock. This was a whole series where they also did them for 8, 10, 12, and 16. This music was featured on the group's 1992 album, "I Got Shoes." On the album are these same songs, and on each version, they count in different languages.
"Ba-ding-a-ba-ding-a", that's what it sounds like to me!
