  • Spectacular Spiderman twenty third episode....

  • I don't like opera at all. Bud dam I enjoy this 3:01 minutes!!!

  • Does anyone know the name of the aria which begins right after "Questa o quella" ends, when the Duke sings "Partite? Crudele!"?

It is definitely one of the most amazing pieces of music I've ever heard. So passionate...

  • @961111 It's not an aria, just a very short duet between the duke and countess Ceprano. The whole opera Rigoletto is amazing and full of beautiful melodies like this - just listen to the full opera. You could get the DVD of this movie; or if you are interested PBS has a video of a recent Italian tv movie version of Rigoletto filmed in Mantua available on their website (google "PBS Great Performances Rigoletto video" and take first link), just click and watch.

  • his smile is killing me...........xaxa

  • I still think the Voyager's EMH sings it better :3

  • Never thought Jack Black could sing like that...

  • @noelnthaly LOL... By th way... Jack Black is a genius of music... But Pavarotti is a God of music!!!!!

  • @drumsandshags no way! Jack Black trashes all forms of music tht arent metal. He's too narrowminded

  • I wish I could act like Pavarotti. His eyes have such passion. No one could beat pavarotti at singing or acting. R.I.P Pavarotti. We'll miss you.

  • Great film.

  • I love how he kept his beard for every role he ever did lol

    <3

  • I mean :-)

  • And that's how you do that :-(

    IMMENSO MAESTRO PAVAROTTI!

  • What i like most about this video is how obvious it is that he is having a great time. That is something present in all his recorded performances, the man was great.

  • @Stringy007 This is courting old school!

  • @Stringy007 hahahahahaha!!!!!

  • @Stringy007 LOL XD

  • Grande pavarotti, sembra ke Giuseppe Verdi l'abbia scistta x lui

  • place la nebunie

  • The countess looks like a minbari. Other than that, Paverotti is BEAUTIFUL!

  • you are missed signore Pavarotti

  • Bravo Maestro

  • There are a lot of things you could say about Pav, but I would never question his passion for singing or playing the role. A loss.

  • I love this song, grew up listening to it at my Grandma's all the time.

  • Look at his eyes, how expressive they are. It is as if the character has totally possesed him. I don't think I've ever seen him sing with such passion and vigor. Is this oper a favorite of his?.

  • @antiann52 actually no this was not his favorite opera. His favorite opera was "La Boheme" by Puccini, which also was his "good luck charm" and his opening debut.

  • @antiann52 He is very charismatic in this production, isn't he? Not just in this aria, but in others throughout the opera.

  • @antiann52 his favorite was la boheme, he considered it his lucky opera. But I agree he's completely in the moment in this one. So well done.

  • @antiann52 I'd have to agree, Luciano in my opinion was not a very good actor. I think here however he forgot himself a liitle and got into the charactor.

  • @antiann52 right on the money. I completely agree.

  • that hair and makeup makes her look like an alien

  • @Shmoofles Yes it does

  • got to love his smile...what a man!bravo maestro!

  • Minha ópera prefeirda... adoro...

  • IMPRESIONANTE! Luciano sonno bellissimo!EL MEJOR!

  • immortal Verdi

    immortal Rigoletti

from cosmos to cosmos over all times

  • Their voices are so godly and beautiful

  • Physically, he reminds me of King Henry VIII of England.

  • Is that bill oddie with the rose? What the hell...

  • @rajscreedon69

    It's Pavarotti

  • @MuresanAndreea no not Pavarotti. There is a quick flash of a man with a rose, and im sure its a bill oddie impersonator

  • @rajscreedon69 I didn't see this flash, but there are no "oddie impersonators" here. This is a movie based on opera Rigoletto, the first act takes place at the ducal court. Pavarotti who plays the part of the Duke of Mantua is holding a rose in the beginning of the aria. There is duke (Pavarotti), countess Ceprano whom she courts at this particular second, her husband, court jester (Rigoletto - the hutchback in red) and courtiers.

  • Haha they didnt make the Countess of Ceprano very pretty.lol But wow that guy has a great operatic voice!!!! :) Costuming is amazing as well

  • Fantastic !

  • Amazing Verdi and amazing Pavarotti. Thank you!

  • @MeIsArtTickYouLet Thats not true. I'm a christian and am deeply offended that you are under the impression that believing in God is ignorant. Anyone, despite their faith can listen to a beautiful peice of music and make a professional comment so don't assume that christians or people who believe in God are ignorant or stupid just because we believe in a higher power that you have forgotten or were to stubborn to recognize.

  • @MeIsArtTickYouLet For your information, I did not "blindly accept a load of BS", I knew full well what I was choosing to believe in because, unlike you, I'm not completely close minded and stuck in a Godless black hole. But just remember, even though you don't believe in Him, Jesus loves you anyway.

  • she looked like she was having an orgasm the whole time lol :]

  • One thing can not be denied the passion in Pavarotti's eye as he sings his heart. Materful performer...

  • who give us a prestation like this now?

  • Nobody puts on a show like this anymore!

  • hes some charmer at every video lol

  • I love at :25 how the guy just kinda slides in then slides out in like, one second

  • rigoletto kazzo digoma

  • Comment removed

  • shut up, you stupid srbian idiot!

  • love him

  • T_T no puedo evitar que las lágrimas salgan.

  • Is this the fatally handsome young man who passed himself as a poor student to win Gildas heart? Much opera is about suspending disbelief, but in this case its an impossible feat. Lavish and overblown. Compare Lemeshevs duke in the old Soviet production to see the difference.

  • timeles

  • beautiful,amazing,wonderfull,just greattt.....

  • Grande Pavarotti e grande Wixell !
