  • I went on your website, searched for the Peavey Vypyr Nano, and nothing was found....what gives?

  • Why didn't this make it to the marketplace?

  • EXCELLENT demo. The way that guy's voice bounced off the exterior of the Nano Vypyr was one of the better sounds I've ever heard; I'm going out to buy it right now...

  • I bought my first amp in 1976...amps are like cars, some good and reliable, some lemons. I have a Vypyr 75 thats had to go back for repair once. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Its a great amp and at $300 its a steal.

  • Wow! I bet these are as stable as Microsoft Windows now!

  • I bought a Vypyr 30 and sanpera II a year ago and have had no issues with either. I'm not discounting those who have, maybe I just got lucky to get a good one. lol. For the money, and for what it is, it's one of the coolest amps I've had.

  • I have a Vypyr tube 120 (my 2nd one) and like it, but getting a Vypyr iwithout bugs is hit or miss. The units are made in china, so that should tell you something right there.

Personally, I'd pay extra money if the amp were made in the USA with better build quality and reliablity instead of paying less for crap from china.

  • the regular 15 seems better aside from portability

you have more control over the parameters

  • Do these nano Vypyrs actually work reliably? Because the regular ones sure don't.

  • Actually, any reliability problems with Peavey Vypyrs have been addressed many months ago. You can feel confident in a Vypyr purchase, regardless of which one it is.

  • Which is why when I decided to give the Vypyr one last try two months ago, my fourth Vypyr mind you, it had all sorts of issues, even turned itself off, and had to be sent back.

And that's also why when you go to the Vypyr forums there are still people complaining to this day about new Vypyrs they buy having issues.

You absolutely cannot feel confident about a Vypyr purchase. Some people get good units, some people don't. There are still lots of bad units out there. Do your research first.

  • All that needs to be done is the latest software updates, which your local Peavey dealer can do for you at no charge.

  • That wouldn't have done any good, as the most recent amp I bought had the most recent software update on it, and it was still having all sorts of problems :). According to the forums, there are others with the latest software update also experiencing all sorts of problems.

I understand you work for Peavey so of course you're going to talk your product up and try to make it sound good. I'm simply saying people really, really need to do their research first before they buy.

  • @guitardbucket I bought the Vypyr Tube 60 from Guitar Center and LOVED the sounds (not the weight), but had to return it after a week because of a defective tuner. Then about 6 months later, sent the second one back because it was so unreliable (kept shutting down). After that, I gave up....

  • @pvampmgr I disagree.....

  • i want his job
