  • Que fea musica de fondo :s

  • @kerodean its called a machine operator for Gods sake

  • @TheJonathanPace its not just one thin piece of plastic is 100's and if u dont drill it that way pices will break and mess up the whole entire stack

  • why are there so many woman there?

  • this could be an interesting video, but the sound track blew it..

  • Clear ec2s over resonant black, absolutely kill on my dw toms.

  • and it cost 50$ for plastic and aluminum!?!?!?!?

  • @coolbeans123d i know man i always feel ripped off especially with drum sticks cause they break way more than skins

  • @coolbeans123d you're going to a rip-off shop if you're paying that much. I live in Thailand, where everything is imported and all the heads are between $18-$30.

and it's for plastic aluminum AND epoxy! ha ha ha

  • @blahblibidyblahblah well the tom and snare heads are cheap but the bass heads are not.

  • @coolbeans123d sure. The bass heads do cost the most, but STILL! if you're paying more than $30-35 you are definitely getting robbed. Go to another shop, go online, anywhere else.

Search for "The Music Center" in Kenosha Wisconsin. I used to live in chicago, and they were always the best. Even though it was nearby, i regularly had them ship stuff (pay postage but no tax) and it worked out in my favor.

  • @blahblibidyblahblah the only good music shop in tucson az recently closed, i think ill shop online now.

  • The MX1 white heads we have for our bassline, all came out of the hoop. Really pissed us off since it costs so much to replace bassheads. They still tuned up to the notes needed, and sounded great. We woul like to endorse Evans on our line, just need the right person to talk to.

  • personally I like Remo better, but Evans is still pretty good, nice tone quality

  • fucking stupid music

  • I play evans and remo they both make great drumheads!

  • Emad2's = best bass drum heads evar

  • "Evans also endorses the use of hot, red-head babes in drumhead manufacture..."

  • all that--and then we just break em

    \

  • I gotta say, I've never tried Evans on my kit, but I'm starting to think it would be a good idea. My Remo snare head coating sucks, and I've had a couple heads that pull out of the ring. Bleh.

  • 9 people play with remo drumheads

  • @TheFrankseitz i use both

  • best drumheads ever made!!

  • Ganun pala yun?

  • shit i use remo!

i want to use Evans but thats til i get another drumset

  • Wait... women are making my drumheads? I think I'm going to go Remo now...

  • @dheim293 hell yeah i was JUST about to type that

  • I got coated heads. Even bass drum, but that's a remo

  • fucking frootyloops beat is annoying

  • Niceness !!!

  • I always played with Evans g2 clear and a G1 resonant clear. I just bought the Onyx for my tom batter sides... Oh my god... amazing!

  • sponsor me Evans.

  • this is just gr8 i <3 evans! it rocks

  • Clear or coated?

  • produces a swoosh sound when played under brushes... lmao

  • Absolutely beautiful! Love Evans!

  • why are there nothing but women working in drum factories?

  • Freaking annoying music but that was pretty wicked.

  • How ironic... The video is about drumheads, but the song used doesn't even have real drums!

  • @moosewing2 you must be kidding!!!

  • That music makes me want to buy from another company!! AHHHH!

  • I love the EC2's on my toms!

  • Bending machine lol.

"So what do you do Bender?"

    "Oh I'm a bender."

  • @kerodean

Please select mode of death: quick and painless, or slow and horrible

"Yeah, I'd like to place a collect call."

You have chosen 'slow and horrible'

    "Good choice!"

  • @kerodean what do my drumheads and me have in common? we don't "pull out"

  • Do they really need 75 tons of pressure to cut a thin piece of plastic? Seems like overkill to me

  • @TheJonathanPace yea, it's probably to make sure they have a 100% clean cut or something.

  • @TheJonathanPace YOU, MY FRIEND, JUST DON'T REALLY KNOW HOW STRONG EVANS HEADS ARE, DO YOU!?!?!?!?!?!?! ahahah

  • @TheJonathanPace To make the cut clean.

  • @TheJonathanPace Well, how else could they justify overcharging you for them?

  • which is better evans or remo? if ur a screamo drummer?

  • @drumsandknex321 I'm assuming by 'screamo' you mean you want a well-projecting, punchy, and short sound. Try the Evans Hydraulic heads. Thick plies, but they don't choke off the sound of the toms. Short, wet, punchy sounds. I don't know about Remo, but I know those are some good Evans options.

  • @drumsandknex321 its not just the heads, it's also the wood in the shell and the shell's thickness. so much goes in to making a drum's sound you can't just take advice from people on the internet. you're gonna have to try different things until you find a sound you like

  • Hydralics FTW!!!!!!

  • Its all opinion.

  • Remo is better than Evans

  • does anyone know what the blue things are at 1:47?

  • @Ellsbells5xoxo like a glue dispenser or something... just guessing, don't take my word for it.

  • @mono1490 thanks :)

  • simple, the coolant hoses, the machinery, and the rims can get very hot when that profile is being pressed into it, these hoses just constantly spew out coolant ;)

  • been using remos for years. i tried evans once and they sound good, but they seemed to have a somewhat narrow tuning range.

  • i have aquarian response 2 heads and they are the best and my bass head is a super kick and its the best ive ever heard

  • i use the exact same things.

  • if you are talkin about me then they are sweet arent they xD

  • Comment removed

  • Evans is my 2nd choice, but i like aquarian cause they suck the air between the plys in the 2ply heads insted of useing glue or something else, but i still like evans, i just perfer aqaurian

  • Ok. Here's the deal.

Remo: The Original Drumhead. Classic sounds. Never changes. Just that regular drumhead everyone knows.

Evans: Greatest Ideas Ever. Original and Creative. Amazing.

Aquarian: Great. But not as good as Evans, but still good.

Out of all three. Evans beats them all. Not because of durability or look, because of sound.

  • its similar to zildjian, sabian, paiste relatively lol!!!

and out of all, sabian beats them all! (imo)

im also an evans guy, got the ec2 sst's and :O!!!

  • No, it's aluminium.

  • REMO IS BETTER THAN EVANS I HATE EVANS, i have ripped through 2 full drum kits pairs of evans drums heads in 1 year and i got remo pinstripes and have had them for 2 years and still in perfect condition

  • fuck remo aquarian blows them away

  • the only issue with remo that i have encountered is that they wrinkle after a while and i have to keep retuning them. aquarians dont do that because their collar is round, and they vacuum the air from between the plies so the plies are even, creating more durability and focused sound. evans are good, but always seem to sound dead to me, however are probably better than remo because of quality control.

  • they hardly ever use the die cutter for g2

  • and ST Dry on my Snare

  • remo are sweet .

never used evans drum heads yet im a beginner on drums .

  • the drumline im on uses Evans MX white series heads and we crank up our heads pretty high and im a tenor player and i change my heads when were 3/4 into the season that includes summer practices, then after i change em during championships to make em look nice =D

  • GENERA HD DRY sooWOOO

  • Evans are the best drumheads!! in the world! I love Evans!!! go!! EMAD!!

  • I have G1s on top, and genera resos on bottoms of my toms, aquarian studio X on my snare, and an old coated superkick 1 on my bass. it sounds like a cannon.

  • I love the Emad2 batter head for the bass drum :D but in my setup(toms ) i use Remo Emperor's on batter side and Evans G1 clear on resonating side, it sounds wicked! and you dont get called a Remo/Evans fanboy :P

  • to jest bardzo ciekawy program o naciongi firmy eans

  • remo was the first drum head and will allways be my top drum head for rock n roll

  • GO REMO EMPEROR :D

  • Snare: EC Reverse Dot batter, hazy 3000 resonant. Toms: EC2 Clear both sides. Bass: Remo someshit (all I had the money for at the time) but I should be getting an EMAD2 soon.

  • remo FTW

  • powerstroke 3=winner

  • ^^^ truth

  • whats better for the toms evans or remo?

    coated or ehh clean... ?

  • its all about what u prefer. i suggest buuyin 1 remo and 1 evan and seein which 1 sounds the best to u. as for the other question, its basically the same thing but i would say coated for snare and clear* for toms. =P

  • coated for snare to kill unwanted overtones... clear for toms for full resonating toms which reall sounds nice for a 10 inch tom!

  • @daaviud I have coated G1s on my toms, and they sound great.

  • we use evans heads for our marching bass drums and they sound amazing but we use remos for snares and tenors and they get out of tune really fast , they sound good too

  • i like remo for snare and evans for the toms =D

  • are you a heavy metal drummer? and how long u been playing for. Just wondering

  • no im not a heavy metal drummer and ive been playing drums for about 2 years its not like alot of time but enough to understand some stuff about drumming

  • same :P ambassador for snare and evans ec2 for tom and bass

  • You HAVE to get a Evans Genera Hd dry head for your snare batter head. you never go back to Remo again. ESPECIALLY if you have a wood snare...

  • yes its amazing i have one on my pearl

  • Me Too. Pearl Masters 14" x 6.5" sounds SICK

  • i have evans on all my drums,ec2 coated

  • Me Too... Evans 300 res and Genera HD dry for snare. All toms/Floor Toms The new EC2 clear and G2's on Bottom. Evans Emad 2 batter and EQ3 res on Kick... =)

  • @angelrend The only thing I DON'T like about Remo, is their coating is really thin, and wears out extremely fast. I have coated studio x heads that are like 8 years old, and they still have 99.9% of their coating left.

  • oh my bad, not the rim. xD

  • hoop? lol

    they mean the rim?

  • There is no drum head or drum company better than another. It all depends on your personal liking. It goes the same way for cymbals, it's all on your personal opinion and the sound you're looking for. People arguing about this stuff are really anoying.

    KBYE!

  • @RubenFeedjewz exactly, just like cymbals. all the major brands make ones some people like, and ones some people don't.

  • Evans is one step ahead i think. Remos muffled heads kills the sound of the drum to much. the powerstroke 3 on toms.. noo no!

  • I use both Remo and Evans. Remo Ebony Black X for batter and Evans Hazy 300 for resonant on my snare, right now Ebony Suedes on my toms and then Evans EC2 Reso's, Evans Gmad Bass Batter and Stock Remo reso on the bass. I love to experiment with different heads for my toms. I love both company's but cant really take one over the other.

  • I like Remo and Evans.. I use remo coated emperer/ambassadors for mig toms and a clear evans emad on the bass. It all depends on what style i am playng.. Sorry for my bad english..

  • REMO is 100000000000000 better!

  • Definitely not. Except for the Powerstroke 3, Remos are terrible.

  • @Longjuyt2InTuBe78 they all make good heads, some sound better on different drums than others do. like I love Studio X heads on one drum, but they dont' sound as good on another.

  • Never heard a more annoying music than in this clip :(

  • @dunDaan they could have at least made it music with drums in it.

  • @dunDaan ahhh it's the worst I'm literally having trouble hearing the narrator

  • @dunDaan

and then making a film about cymbals ;)

  • @dunDaan The music is by Glenn Kotche, the drummer for the band Wilco... and I must say, this song was shockingly weird and, yes, annoying. Disappointing. I wonder if the rest of the album is better...

  • @dunDaan F--k you!!! he is Glenn Kotche!! he is amazing!!

  • @dunDaan better than bieber though

  • @dunDaan youve never seen any other how its made episodes.

  • Dick...

  • Loser...

  • You think Remo are the best because you use them... And if you don't like Evans drum heads, then why are you watching their videos? And by the way, you comment has -2...

  • i had a coated reverse dot evans head for my snare drum, and it sounded terrible. totally dry, and no tone at all. I switched that out with a remo controlled sound and couldn't be happier with it. However, i just got a G2 clear for my floor tom and it sounds remarkable. So, i don't know what any of that means, i guess... idk.

  • ben80s08 are you 12 or something. all drumhead brands make different thickness of heads, to say that Remo is thicker than Evans is silly. Do some research. they make clear, coated, etched, all types. Try reading their web sites.

  • is it just me or is that song in the background Projections Of (What) Might by Glenn Kotche?!?!

  • remo was the first ever drum head for rock n roll and i love them caues eric carr from kiss used them they rock and there thicker then evans and have a warmer tone i tryed evans out and not that good maybe for beginners you want evans but you really want to rock go for remo. remo rocks!

  • LOL i got Evans G2 clears on all my batter toms=) there have great sound with G1s on bottom.

  • I hate people like you. How about this: If it sounds good, use it.

Remo sounds way better than both anyways.

  • i hate people like u hippocrits to me aquarains sound the best so i use them and remos are over rated

  • Aquarians are extremely well-made. I love their snare heads, but their tom heads (performance II) sound like 10 year old pinstripes. Dead and doinky.

I'd use an Emad on the bass, Remo's on the toms and a high velocity on the snare.. I play for the sound not the label.

  • @TheCemeterySymphony good god, i love the wet sound my remo heads give me on my toms.

  • @TheCemeterySymphony i agree totally all drumhead companies make bad product models you sometimes have to pick and choose... i use remo emperors on toms, an evans hd snare head and an aquarian superkick II....

  • Its all personal preference really,

  • I'm working on a custom 13'' snaredrum, what are the best heads to apply? I play metal so...

    please respond!

  • Remo ambassador's are really good as are evans power centre for metal drumming.

  • remo coated.

  • For the bassdrum the powerstroke 3 is better...or if you want a warm sound is also good the "Feberskin powerstroke 3 FE"

  • can anyone please let me know if they have found the perfect batter side snare head that accentuates ghost notes very well? i've been playing for about 7 years and i can't find one that's just perfect. maybe im just too picky. i don't know, any reccomendations welcome. peace

  • I think that Remo Heads might help you. Well, now I'm using Portnoy's Remo heads setup. I took this reference from the Dream Theater Score DVD and SysDrumatic Chaos, and actually the hole drums sounds amazing and really worked for me. Now The Setup:

-For Toms: Remo Clear Emperors on tops, Diplomats on bottoms

-Snare: Remo Coated Controlled Sound (black dot)batter, Clear Ambassador snare-side.

-BassDrum: Powerstroke 3 on kick batters, clear Emperors on front (with silver 6" holes).

  • Don't ignore the snare side - Tighten up the bottom head, and don't over tighten the snare wires, as this will reduce the sensitivity required for clean ghost notes. Or try snares with more strands..

Get that snare side head seated properly in the snare beds.

  • ya, since i posted that i've purchased an evans hazy 300 snare side head and did exactly what you are recommending here. i have a gretsch catalina stage snare drum, mahogany i believe, a notoriously deep sounding type of wood. i have an evans power center on my batter side(i regret not getting a power center reverse dot) and it sounds pretty good. i'm thinking about get a 13 X 7 maple snare drum though, with die cast hoops, i found one at a good price. thx for help all

  • I love mahogany snares. Nice. Can I ask: is there much of a difference in the sound of the dot being on top or underneath on the Evans heads? I've never tried Evans snare heads...

13x7 would be a cracker of a snare.

  • ya, i think that the snare on top wouldn't allow a person to use brushes etc. as well as it being on bottom. i love the way it's a one ply head, so it's allows more of you snare sound to come out, not just head sound. also, it gave me a little ring, that may have just been my snare sounds trying to escape!!! i love a little ring :). and yea, that snare would be a little cracker! im dying to play it

  • for my bass emad2 my toms 12-13-16 ec2 heads my sanre is a genera snare might get their hybrid coated snare head eveans all the way on a tama superstar custom

  • i have G2 battered on all my toms and they work great.

  • If you work there, do you get free drum heads?

  • Aquarian snare

    evan kick

    remo toms

  • Hello,

Probably i'm going to change my drumheads soon and i'm stuck. Can't decide what to get. My style is metal/rock. And i was thinking right now G2 batter heads, and keep my Remo stock resos.

I was wondering, (I read on Drummerworld forum) someone tried EC2(batt) over G2(Reso) on 16 floor tom. Does anyone knows if its a good idea to put G2 (bat) over G2(reso) on my 16 floor tom? I fear that one G2 won't be enough, but i don't want to ruin it by adding a G2 reso.. Any advices? Thanks, peace

  • what should i buy? remo or evans?

  • REMO

  • i got a pdp drumset. the tom sizes are 12, 13 and 16. snare is 14. bass is 22. should i buy remo pinstripe?

  • haha ur set is similar to mine

i use remo pinstripe on my pdp toms 12 and 16, if u wanna hear check out one of my newer videos

  • Pinstripe for the bass and evans for the toms

  • already bought remo pinstripe coated for my snare. and the clear once for my toms. i dont know what to buy for the bass. :|

  • evans emad is a safe bet

  • are the pinstripes for bass really that responsive? i like to feel my beater to bounce comfortably so that i can play double pedal with ease, are th epinstripes the way to go?

  • Remo for sure.

  • 4:23 that guy has an easy job

  • how about the genera hd dry

  • thats prolly like a compnay secret

  • I wanna see how they make the oil-filled heads

  • The Hydraulics? Two thinner heads with oil between.

I would like to see too.

  • Awesome video, very informative!

  • Its all preference.

  • Remo for the snare

Evans for the toms and Bass drum (EMAD PWNS!!!)

  • thats what i have too lol

  • same for me. i don't know what it is but evan's snare heads just don't give me the sound i'm looking for anymore.

  • Well maybe every once in a while I'll get that "good" Genera Dry snare head....lol...but yeah I know what you mean

  • remo and evans work for me

  • evans ftw.

  • Comment removed

  • r u fuckin kidding me?
