  • I wanted to post this on my web site but it wouldn't let me :(

  • Great video. I clearly understand the problem.

  • Well, the thing is that if you kill a human or an animal, you get in deep trouble.

But trees are living things as well.....

  • Shut down Kimberly-Clark!!! (Ashamed to have them originate in my state along with having a whole city named after them!)

  • The privilege to qualify to live in the green belt managed by NCC. Help me help you we are all about the environment. Cleaning the air we breathe, Just look at what’s been standing in our way, airadvocates on youtube there are some cool stop motion videos. NCC General Meeting air-medics.ca/newadventures/ web site. Look what they been standing in the way of.

  • Oh my goodness... Well it sure is nice to know where some of our everyday products come from...

  • We deserve to go extinct. I feel bad for the animals bvut what the hell. We all die.

It's really fucked up though. Bye bye Redwood Kleenex! One less thing to buy. Kinberly-Clark, eh? Okay.

    Thanks for the video!

  • Reminds me of the movie called Langoliers," it's purpose was to erase the past & does that by devouring the earth. I don't think that movie is not non-fiction because it has been occurring on Earth for decades. Between that, the Gulf stream & North Atlantic current dying & the Gulf of Mexico Loop current already dead, massive amounts of toxic dispersants, we don't stand a chance of saving ourselves, wildlife, or eco-systems. But I'll not stop speaking out until my last dying breath.

  • of kleenex?!?!?

  • religous or not our ultimate goal is to leave this planet i say fuck it and blow your nose comfortably before we rocket off this bitch

  • Evil people rape the world's natural resources and all it's residuals. Look at Africa. Europeans went there to gather up diamonds. Elephant tusks are aro sold for money. People will KILL elephants JUST for their ivory tusks. People will KILL trees just to make money. Money is the root of all kinds of evil. It's the Bible's words not mine.

  • Clear-cutting the forests & jungles of the world will finally allow us unprecedented access to hidden & overgrown archeological sites, & to animal species that have traditionally been hard to get at, like Sasquatch. It will also free up valuable real estate for our ever-growing population, & economic opportunities for everyone.

  • @theLordIovesusaII

    Susquatch? Are you kidding me?lol

  • @theLordIovesusaII

That's right, Jesus would have wanted us to destroy the Earth for "valuable real estate" and "economic opportunities".

  • @theLordIovesusaII ...While terrorizing the ecosystem which God put here for us to take care of. I suppose it will help the economy, only to cut down on our natural resources and eventually we will run out but oh well at least we were stable at ONE TIME!!!!! Maybe virtual trees will sustain us :D

  • TREES ARE THE LUNGS OF THE PLANET !!

  • think of how many people lived because those trees went down and lives are better life comes from death so tree huggers you are wrong

  • @waterboy1831 no they are right. trees MAKE OXYGEN and in the process destroy carbon, lessening the greenhouse effect. so really, we are destroying our ONLY supply of air. does that help people?

  • Ok, it goes like this: We're living beings just like every other living being in this world. We think of are selves as the greatest ones and destroy the whole ecosystem just for some napkins. Oh, yeah. Killing parts of ecosystem won't make any ones live better. The "tree huggers" are not wrong, they're totally wright! They think that it's wrong to destroy the planet just for you're own profit....Don't you?

  • Don't be so positive! Oh, and toobzombe - What are you going to do when there are no trees left and you can't breath you selfish assh#le, then maybe you'll care. Your name definitely fits you.

  • since greenpeace doesn't want us to use paper i wonder what they use to wipe their asses after their business. Think they use their bare hand , i think not !!! these people are unbelievable , sure save the forests, save everything, if they really care about the environment they would just punch their own tickets, only way people are not going to have any impact on this planet is if we all just frigging die !!!!!!

  • greenpeace wants you to use recycled fiber do a lil research before you open your mouth

  • Ohhh the humanity!! I just can't take it anymore! The tears are flowing like a river! Now...where'd I put that jumbo box of Kleenex?

  • Yeah but, trees are taken down every day, theres not forests burning every day....

  • Paper. Omgash.

  • This is called Forestry. These logging companies log the trees for paper products and lumber, and in turn replant the trees, allowing future generations to have the same products we enjoy. Millions of trees are replanted every year. In fact, if the forests get too old and overgrown, then we run the risk of widespread forest fire. British Columbia's interior is a fine example of that. Cutblocks slow the spread of forest fires, as the fire usually spreads across the canopy.

  • except for the fact that there not replanting, and that this are ancient forests, emphasis on ANCIENT

  • re planting dosnt bring back the forest to what it used to be

  • they dont replant. and even if the tree's grow back the tree's being cut down kills the animals that live in the tree's.

  • This is why people like you always have terrible fucking campaigns. KIMBERLY-KLARK KILLS TREES!!

There are suppliers who supply to different companies

  • Looks like a different holocaust to me.

  • same old story, different day

  • awesome Brand New are mad

  • the only thing good about this video is that the producer chose to put "welcome to bangkok" by brand new as the background music.

  • that's the only reason I watched it.

  • This is stupid. First of all, i am using Scotties right now. And second, i never use tissues all year except the middle of spring when my allergies kick in. If i were to use a handkerchief, it would be sopping after one use, and that's gross. I'm not exaggerating. Why don't we stop wiping our asses with tp and use cloths while we're at it?

  • You have missed the point completely. You don't need to buy a cloth - they are simply asking that you wipe your ass and blow your snot into a recycled product, rather than freshly cut hundred-year-old Oaks.

  • you do realize that recycling paper puts harmful chemicals into the atmosphere and we can plant more trees. not to mention the trees will grow back faster because they have a natural desire to fight for the sunlight!

  • well put! some people just have nothing better to do with their lives than to tell others what to do!

  • thats a load oh shit

  • yes outlookjonas is talking a load of 'shite' on so many different levels.

  • We just take everything for granted, dont we?

  • Whilst I agree that deforestation is a critical issue, there is a legitimate reason that tissue products were created - human health.

Microbes are ubiquitous, we don't need to encourage them by providing an environment that allows them to multiply in more favourable conditions (a warm moist environment, such as that hanky in your pocket).

Therefore the issue is lack of sustainability, we're using more than we replace.

  • DON'T SUPPORT THOSE TISSUE COMPANIES!!!

please save mother earth! be a responsible!

  • lesismore8888 (you got a good pt..i respect that) im not gonna fight over a keyboard...its just we cant stop this..and i fought hard for global warming and inconvenient truth hell i took shit for being a "liberal" and caring for the world..i believe with obama in office change is here and we will rise through the recession with fly music and working our asses of but completely diff topic ppl care about global warming now when it was found out like 13 years ago...peax

  • I care for the world too... ever since I was little, I got made fun of for almost caring too much.

Here is something you should check out, though.

    globalclimatescam . com

  • (This was in response to a comment made a month ago).

  • smelly hippies...paper ok...but kleenexes make life go around..stfu

  • the animals !

    thats what gets me .

  • The thing that sucks is to many people are ignorant and set in there ways. They dont want change.....its hard to get the message across.

  • brand new <3

  • don't use tissue to blow your nose...use a REUSEABLE hankerchief or bandana--as people did for hundreds of years before big forest eating companies came along and started making disposable tissue. Recycle and reuse instead of throwing away. Be part of the solution--not part of the problem.

  • Kudos to you! =)

  • this is so sad. all the poor trees and animals......... ;-(

  • Comment removed

  • Duhhhh ... never heard of a handkerchief? washable/reusable ... and hey ... guess what ... was good enough for hundreds of years until everyone got hooked on consumerism and blinded by the multi-nationals

  • Just like RATM would say it...Bullet in the head for the K&C CEOs

    Kleenex cunts....

  • this song is KILLER. brand new ownssss

  • some "welcome to bangkok" by brand new i see. good stuff.

  • ...which explains the twitter post.

  • this has got an awesome soundtrack

  • Woah...these guys are nutty!

  • Who do you mean, Greenpeace or Kimberly-Clark?

  • Both...And not in a good way.

  • What's so nutty about Greenpeace? They're trying to preserve our threatened ecosystems. Is it bad to be committed to saving the environment?

  • Thanks for the video. I don't support Kimberley-Clark in anyway.

  • Just putting it out there... we don't need a "greener" equivalent of the DISPOSABLE tissue products these companies are producing... in fact we don't need disposable tissue products at all. Think outside of the box folks.

  • Everything has a reason, so why do people "need" disposable tissues and what are the alternatives?

  • Well ... handkerchiefs made from cotton would be a wild guess on my part ...

  • Ppl don't need disposable tissues. Taking a wild, impetuous guess the alternative would be cotton handkerchiefs ...

  • What this people are doing is WRONG!!! We need the United States to be a world leader and stop, once and for all, this destructive behavior!!

  • hemp

  • Use a hankerchief, people.

  • well not only kleenex but we also use a lot of paper! so this kinda not fair to put everything in one.

  • Great video! Keep up the amazing work you guys do. The world needs orgs like Greenpeace.

  • I believe that they should pass a law, that every company must replace a minimum of 75 percent of the trees that they cut down. That way, that can get there tress for whatever, and they won't destroy the planet. Or they can pass a law for every company that cuts down a certain number of acres must have their own tree plants, were they are to cut from. Instead fo cutting form the wild life, let them cut wut THEY grow. I'm just hinkin here, funny. I live in a desert, and I wanna save trees. lol

  • They should plant 2 or 3 trees for everyone they cut down.

  • don't make the mistake of thinking a tree farm will replace a forest. mature forests take centuries to evolve, and they are an intricate, diverse, ecosystem.

  • @pennilesscripple They should grow tree farms for logging...

  • Greenpeace is by far the most amazing environmental org. The way they mix creative communication(like this video) and peaceful protest is spectacular and gets results. Keep up the good work Greenpeacers You are wonderful!

  • So why aren't you calling for reforestation?Hanging banners is all you do. How about taking some real action for once.

  • GOOD VID! :D

  • Don't be a snob: just use recycled toilet paper. Problem solved. Give a high 5 up KC's ass.

  • Oh... we don't need to breathe... but they do think they need to stuff their pockets....

How about we use renewable HEMP!

  • here in NewZealand we have to many trees we have grown heaps...

  • damn greenpeace hippies. They're trees, you grow more.

  • Hey frezzingcold -- I think what they're saying is that ancient forests (different than trees plantations) are being used to make a throw-away product. Let's not make the famous mistake of not "seeing the forest for the trees." Trees are replaceable. Ancient forests are not.

  • As other people have said, it's not just the trees they are cutting down-they are destroying the entire ecosystem that the trees are a part of.

  • And why is "hippie" used in such a derogatory manner?

  • Because some of them were smelly bums who grew up to be hypocrites.

  • you guys should educate the owners of kleenex that using recycled paper to produce their products would save them alot more money and increase their profits

  • And they do it. Just like that. How awful!

  • Great info & video. As consumers, we need to know what we're buying. That way, we can choose to vote with our dollars for forest conservation or destruction. It's an individual choice, but I'm glad Greenpeace is giving us info we need to be informed shoppers.

  • get a life

  • Thank you. I've been trying to inform my friends about this for awhile. Are there better tissue companies or should I reccomend hankies.

  • thank you i will never ever buy those brands again. If only we could get this clip on tv!!!!!!!!!
