Out of all the voice actors, Yuri Lowenthal is my favorite!! 2. Actually, I DONT like Sasuke, which is why it's odd hearing his voice on a character I DO like (Shinra). Sasori sucks, he died off too fast. Itachi sucks. You mentioned the only characters I DONT like.

3. I've seen Mobile Suit Gundam 00, but no others, and I've never seen Evangelion (heard of it though)

He has no voice range, and his voice is annoying

He's just using his generic Ben Tennyson talking voice that he uses for 99% of all his other roles. He doesn't sound dopey or eccentric at all for a character like Shinra. And for his really eccentric scenes he's gonna bust out his Keigo Asano voice. There are no surprises or especially good or memorable performances coming from this bro anymore

generally, overdoing it in a dub is far better than underdoing it (especially for a character like Shinra. Lloyd in Code Geass is a good example of a mad scientist done awesomely thanks to Liam O'brien)

Lots of old ADV mecha dubs had terrible acting, but they put so much emotion into the lines that it made up for it and they turned into something great

@Norse Lloyd I consider a special case. There really was no other choice for Lloyd in Code Geass. But for Shinra, he's not quite the same "mad scientist" as Lloyd, so he can have a more neutral voice. I prefer more neutral voices in dubs, except for in intense or emotional scenes. JYB as Lelouch is the perfect example: neutral when Lelouch is acting normal, and turns it up when needed.

This seems to me that it could sell a coveted number of anime units here: 10,000+. I am in agreement with people buying it and not pirating it. That's a reason we don't see as many dubs as we did 5 years ago. Plus, with Kari, Michelle, Steve, Yuri, Johnny, and Crispin, it would have to a great dub to employ some of the biggest dub names. I also loved him messing up on the scientific speak. Please bring outtakes.

Hes my favorite character (next to celty of course) but I still see him as a supporting character for the most part, mostly due to the fact that he had no real weight on the show.
