i cant fucking thank you enough, and for everybody whos wondering, i use a sony hdr-cx105e and it records in avchd. DO NOT select "video" in the program mode, select "other" and then "in a specific location" connect your camera to your computer and select the disk.

@itskaydencee it happens some time....it tries to recover files based on the clusters left in the storage. if the clusters has been corrupted or moved, then there's a chance that the file will be unrecoverable...this some happens when u formatt it... sorry...no can do
