This move is simply dangerous and should have NO place in any form of civilised sport. To try to justify it, as some posts have done, I find both distressing and depressing.
I did this once in a high school match. If you wrestle a lot of freestyle it is hard to not do what you have been trained sometimes. That would have been a 5 point throw and instant pin on FS. I hope the kid was ok though.

@xXxEllinasxXx well When I've wrestled freestyle people do use this, i think the ref. stopped the match cause he saw how the kid landed and knew he was hurt. This of course is just what I think I see.
@Bman135 I represented PA at Fargo twice and that slam is just a good example of a touchfall.. scholastic, you have to have to be brought down to the mat safely which is the smarter way anyway, he had zero control as the kid hit the mat, which in freestyle if you dont get the touch fall ur atleast getting a 5.. this is nothing to brag about, homeboy has awful mat awarness and technique, hes on the edge with grapevines instead of getting perpendicular so he can get his backs

A few things: If you got DQ'd, then you are 9-1 not 10-0. If you knew what the heck you were doing, your throw would have worked out a little better. This kid clearly was not that good, so don't think that you dominate in any way, shape, or form. @Bman135 I represented PA at Fargo twice and that slam is just a good example of a touchfall.. scholastic, you have to have to be brought down to the mat safely which is the smarter way anyway, he had zero control as the kid hit the mat, which in freestyle if you dont get the touch fall ur atleast getting a 5.. this is nothing to brag about, homeboy has awful mat awarness and technique, hes on the edge with grapevines instead of getting perpendicular so he can get his backs

A few things: If you got DQ'd, then you are 9-1 not 10-0. If you knew what the heck you were doing, your throw would have worked out a little better. This kid clearly was not that good, so don't think that you dominate in any way, shape, or form. If you wrestle several styles sometimes moves become part of your style and when you're in the heat of a match like that, you don't always think about the move your hitting.The sport is wrestling, it's a combat sport. You're friends after the match- worst enemies before it.
