yea man i just bought a 7 on saturday and ive been learning nile songs. you can play it with a 6, but tuning that low is gonna warp your neck and youll need to buy a heavy string guage.

o go from a# tuning all the way up to E standard so thats lower than nile all the way to standard tuning with no effects other than breaking strings occasionally

nope its a gibson SG custom shop and the neck is fairly thick and i have an ebony fretboard. had it for quite a while and ive flown with it form Hong Kong where its really Humid to the the US several times and nothing has happened. perfectly straight

No i'm using a 7. On the record Karl uses a KXK double neck V, bottem part is a standard 6string with scalloped frets like every other guitar he uses, and the top part is a 11 string(every string is doubled except the 6th string) fretless guitar.
