@MrCrapVideo It should be down down chuck up down up *chord switch* down down chuck. up down up *chord switch* down down chuck up down up *chord switch* down down chuck
then it repeats over again
I hope tthis helps and is not too confusing as i figured this by ear :)
Yeah that's how the strumming is supposed to be. I made this video back when I was still new at the uke, I didn't know the right strumming at the time. haha.
whats the pattern?... it goes down down chuck... and than i loose track....xD.. can u please write the pattern?....:D ... thank you...... nice tutorial btw
This is YVPrecise, I'm using my other account to type this comment to you.
Basically the strumming I did in this video was wrong. The real strum pattern is Down, Chuck, Up Up, Chuck Up and then you switch to the next chord. It's an easier strum pattern and sounds better. I made this video when I was still new at ukulele so I didn't really know what strum pattern would be good back then.
@Shanelly54. thats called chunking. they have tutorials on that. Its how i learned (x and thaanks so much for this tutorial !! this is the first song i learned on my ukelele. <3
I can't really explain it on text, so i'll just make a new tutorial for it. HellaBased is my new account (i'm not using YVPrecise anymore), so just go there to find the new tutorial. I'll make the tutorial next week.
It's kind of hard to explain, but as you play the chord you have to gently put a part of your palm on the stings, so that all you hear is the scratch from the strum. Your palm kind of silences the chord.
Try it and let me know if it helped. If not, tell me what you're confused about and i'll try explaining it better. I might make a video tutorial on it, too.
It's possible to play this song without the scratch, though. I only used the scratch in this song cause it sounds better that way.
It's called a "chunk" or a "scratch". It's a good thing to learn since it makes some songs on the ukulele sound better when you use it. I'll probably do a video on how to do it later on.
I think it's still possible to play the song without having to chunk. It didn't take me that long to learn to chunk though, i'll try makin a quick tutorial for it later on.
yeah when i started playing uke, the week later i learned how to chunk. you'll get the hang of it once you get it down 3 times in a song. it makes your playing more versatile.
that's not the official strumming for the song but it's the way that i do it. try messing around with the strumming and you'll probably find a better way.
whats the strum pattern
