  • Fantastic! great sound and great playing.

  • Thanks Ed, I appreciate you taking the time to watch...

    Enjoy the weekend....

  • hey where did you get the strap? its very close to the one page uses now! great tone by the way!

  • Deadly tone!

Thanks for adding the tip on setting the pickups to get that out of phase tone on your awesome demo! I own the 2005 JPP 156 & play through an Orange AD30. I set my pickups accordingly after reading your settings and can't put it down now! I was getting cranky trying to figure it out.....You rock epc!

  • My pleasure....

    Enjoy.

  • Deadly tone!

  • best cover on youtube, no question about it.

  • that is a beautiful guitar. i wish i had one

  • thx dude, I still think this is the best version out there :D the sound you get is just the same as jimmy page

  • r u jimmy's son?

  • Great job on covering the solo (especially Page's tone)! Rock on man!! 5*s

  • its about the magnets inside the pickups, they give out of phase thone if a magnet is upside down.

  • Great playin' man, and you even went through the trouble of setting the mood, 5 stars all the way!

  • cool, check out my vid ;)

  • Yes!!

one of the coolests guitars i´ve ever seen!

  • nice!

  • rock on man, good work.

  • Great performance, real zeppelin mood! Its a jpp cshop?

Tom murphy?I've a #165...look my video Gibson "JIMMY PAGE GIBSON ON MARSHALL JTM 45/100"

  • Awesome!! You are definetly one of the best on Youtube

  • Gotta love the candles bro! NICE TOUCH!... also superb playing. 5 stars *****

  • This is about as perfect you can get on this solo-in terms of tone and accuracy. I've checked out many vids on YT and there are those that come close but this is pretty much the one! Is that your real name? Cool! Nice guitar! I want to do this song too. Thanks for the tips!

  • You are very kind to say that.

    Much appreciated.

    Yes, it's my real name.

It's a Gibson Jimmy Page Les Paul Custom Shop.

I am glad my video can be of some assistant to you in learning.

  • Well, if there is any lineage from Jimmy himself-you certainly have picked up a lot of his talent! Keep 'em coming!!

  • Kicks mine in the ass. Big Time.

  • fuck me ! thats exactly it man ! best ive seen. great timing & great work. im still tryin to get it after 30 years.!,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • That is quite a compliment ratlollies.

I really appreciate it. Comments like yours make this all worth while.

    Cheers

  • fuck u r awesome!!! sound just like him man.

  • Thanks man...that's quite a compliment

  • hell yeah for guitar playerss like you!!!kickin thats solos ass like notin!!

  • that waz just an amazing cover! One of the bests on youtube. Where did u get the tabs 4 this song?

  • I mostly transcribe myself. I have used the standard tab books on the market to get in the general direction, but then pick it apart with my ear...little by little.

  • If you really want to get it note for note, then record and decrease the speed 100%... It'll be the same notes but an octave lower, and seriously there some things you hear but you never heard at normal speed... You can hear the hammerons and pulloffs perfectly!

  • Dude... you got Jimmy down ! ! That ain't easy, great work !!!

    5 stars

  • Thanks so much for viewing.

  • nice guitar and great cover

  • Thank you....

    Yeah, I love that guitar.

  • eddie, I just like how you got the tele type sound from that les paul, how'd you do it?

  • The Jimmy Page Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar is wired differently from most if not all Gibson Les Pauls. The Pickups are actually out of phase when both volumes are close to the same setting (i.e. both are at 8 or 7 etc.). Look closely and you see I have the toggle switch in the middle position and then I am utilizing the option I just described. Rolling off of one of the volume pots in either direction allows for many different variations. I hope this gives you some clarity.

  • ...ah haaa, the obscured room, the candle, but where is lori maddox?

  • The last I read, she was currently working as a buyer and manager at a fashion boutique in Los Angeles.....

    She was definitely a hottie....

  • ha ha,very nice...

  • well done bro .. nice one .. take care

  • Hi.Have you ever weighed her?I have four of them in my collection(2 JPPs,1 PAGE and one signed by the Master).Mine weigh from 8.70lbs up to 9.44lbs.I'm extra curious to know how much yours weighs because one of my JPPs which is my main guitar is JPP 503 and weighs 8.80lbs

  • No I'm sorry I do not know the weight.

You are quite lucky to have the collection you do.

    Thanks for viewing

  • Is all this in E minor?

  • Actually...no.

The riffs depend on blue notes and Jimmy also mixes in Major pentatonic notes too.

  • Amazing, i love your guitar, its my dream to have one :p

  • Thank you.

I agree with you too...it is a dream.

  • man, sorry for all the questions about your guitar :p but , i like it very much,

you live in usa right? How much did you payed for the guitar?

  • nice job..even better than jun626

  • Whats your bridge Pickup?

  • The guitar is a stock Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Jimmy Page model year 2005. The pickups are called the Jimmy Page Burstbucker Pro's. You cannot purchase those, but if you get the standard Gibson Burstbucker Pro's and have the guitar wired with Bumble Bee capacitors you will get very close.

  • 2 questions, you said before that the guitar when is in the midle position of the pickups and they are at the same volume it is "out of phase". What does that mean? And i read that it has two push-pulls, but i don't know what they serve to

The sound of the guitar is amaizing

  • Yes,

I am in the middle position...there is only one push pull pot on this guitar....but I am not utilizing it here....By having the pickups offset in volume intensity (i.e. the lead pickup at 8 and the rhythm pickup at 7 to 7.5) creates a quirky wacky out of phase tone on these guitars....and that is how I am achieving that tonality structure. I have only noticed this phenomenon on the 2005 Jimmy Page Custom Shop model

  • i like ur guitar playing style, its, not common !:D

  • Thanks for viewing...What part of Canada you located?

  • Qc Mtl, you?

  • Chicago here...

  • Speechless man ,what am I gonna say.

  • Thank you.

  • you even got the same shirt bro, that was great.

  • What number is the guitar?

    I want it.

    Please.

  • very early 500

  • I started playing Page`s stuff in the 70`s. I never took lessons ,so it took me a bit longer 2 learn it. I still have a hard time with every note being "spot on" also your sound is very close 2 his. Do u have any Fenders? also what kinda Les paul is that? Page signature? Big bucks ,huh? When I lived in NYC you could get a "Paul" 4 like 500 bucks in the 70`s.Not any more though. Y dont u start a band ,"The Note 4 Note Band" (LOL) later ,bro and "Sweet home ,Chicago!!"

  • I only wish I had a bunch of those old Les Paul's from back in the day...Yes, my guitar is a 2005 JP LP Custom Shop. I have one Fender made guitar which I will be unveiling soon in other videos...Stay Tuned!!!

    take care visco

  • i do like ur les paul man

  • nobody can't play that good unless you have the blood and dna of the god himself," Jimmy Page"!!! you have to do a lesson please.

  • Hey Dayton...

That is such a compliment...Thank you...

It has taken alot of work to play like the god himself...

If you are dedicated, you can too!!!

  • Perfect! not 1 note missed!

  • Thank you for that comment

  • AGGRESSIVE AND FLAWLESS!!!!
