  • Just take the air out of the field.

  • World Cup Ball: What's Wrong With It?

    absolutely nothing.

  • 1:49 no Jabulani, it's a Finale

  • Comment removed

  • the ball was designed for a different environment and climate and not for the U.S....sooo stop whining.....

  • Adidas: the company that ruined the 2010 WC with the Jabulani monstrocity: put the creator of the ball in jail for crimes against football. I had the misfortune of playing with Jabulani: it is the worst football in the history of mankind!

  • I've kicked an official jabulani ball. it's pretty lightweight. I still prefer the 2006 World Cup ball. those are the best

  • dicks 2:38

  • I think the problem is the at Jabulani ball is just TOO smooth.

The rougher surface of normal footballs creates small pockets of air around the ball during flight, which helps it travel straighter and with less influence from air resistance.

I know it sounds weird, but the smoother the ball, the more it is influenced by the air around it. That's why golf balls have those little dints in the surface.

By making the ball as 'round' as possible, they have also made it less stable in flight.

  • Adidas Jabulani will live in infamy. Only after playing with this abomination could one realize how truly awful this ball is!!! Shame on Adidas for destroying the 2010 WC.

  • Time for FIFA to call itself FIPA, and if they don't, well NATO will bomb them.

  • Football, is played with the feet, and use a ball , to play it.

That is why it is called FOOTBALL.

Soccer has no busines in been used to replece the word FOOTBALL.

The world knows that, just the USA dont get it.

  • Why won't the world just accept the proper term, it's called Soccer now.

  • @A1R5N1P3R lets me remind you something.. FIFA... and it stand for?

  • @A1R5N1P3R "proper"?....football is football's original name and will remain that way forever..if you don't like it...just drop dead......hahaha....seriously..

  • @1pophero Soccer is the proper word for this pansy game you play, please learn how to spell and pronounce it. Thanks: the yanks who own you.

  • @A1R5N1P3R rofl fail troll is fail and fail rager is raging

  • @A1R5N1P3R the Yanks who own you"? so tell me who the fuck I am then..bitch stop squirming in ur own diseased canopy. The sad fact is you own nothing or no one except the evils of the world and everyone knows it too, Trash...

  • @1pophero You may as well be furniture; to me you're just property: owned.

  • @1pophero Sorry about these people, not all people from the US are this way. Either way, football is awesome.

  • If only they used the teamgeist ball.... my favourite ball.

  • oh i meant WORD soccer

  • @BigkKinny I am English and England invented wat u call Soccer, as football. Americans took our sport "Rugby" and changed the rules & name. Soccer is originally named FOOTBALL.

  • @joslink1 The word "Soccer" Came from Oxford, England and the word is used in MANY counties. Not Just the USA. Even England still uses it way more than they will ever admit.

  • @Headcheezonium not as many as you say, and most englishmen despise the world soccer, if your english and agree thumbs up

  • @Headcheezonium no one ever says soccer in england lol, unless your speaking to an american the word is never used. Its not even a case of hardly ever being used, the word is just NEVER used. So stop talking out your ass!

  • @arb5182 You have Soccer Saturday and Soccer AM. Why don't I see any English complaining about Australia or South Africa calling it Soccer? Even the WORLD CUP FINAL was held in a place called Soccer City! It's just an excuse to hate on the USA for no reason.

  • @Headcheezonium I have spent my entire life in England and the word soccer is never used in conversation. Soccer saturday is for the alliteration, we also have shops with french names, but that doesn't mean we all speak french.

  • @Headcheezonium I'm English and I have never in my life heard the word soccer used other than on TV/internet sites from America. And by never, I literally mean never.

  • @9hello123 What did you call the stadium in Johannesburg then? It was, and still is, called Soccer City. The word is officially used in 5 countries. It's used in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand because Rugby Football is more popular and it's used in the USA and Canada because American Football is more popular there. The word was started in North England because, At the time, Rugby was called football in that area. It later changed, but the word is still used worldwide. It's just dialect.

  • Comment removed

  • @Headcheezonium Johannesburg stadium.

You can keep lying as much as you like and say that English people use the word soccer. Just the problem is everybody from England is telling you they have never said the word. You can ignore that if you like and say they're wrong but that just makes you an idiot.

I have never in my life said soccer, and I have never in my life heard anyone else say soccer that wasn't on an American TV program, or something that may be broadcast to America...

  • @Headcheezonium ...where they will say something along the lines of "football... or soccer if that's what you call it"

  • @9hello123 Have you ever even been to any on those countries? They all call it Soccer. Stop being so ignorant.

  • too fucking expensive for a ball made out of plastic, all of them around 100 dollars and up? are they fucking crazy or something?, two words, mondo kaleidos.

  • t90 tracer

  • The movement of the ball is a technique called "Knuckleball",I don't have that ball and you can see the movement on my shots, thumbs up so everybody can see!

  • Football is fucking right, football was before soccer, YOU DONT play football with your sock, you play it with your foot

  • ronaldo's a fag

  • he sounds like kermit the frog

  • @ultradragon713 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

  • with all clubs in england and other clubs across the world, its FC, for example Portsmouth Football club= PFC, if it was PSC then tht would stand for playstation console!

  • it should universally be called football, it just makes sense

  • @thoughtsthroughsound English isn't spoken universally, so it doesn't make that much sense. Soccer actually is a more accurate term than "football".

  • @BigkKinny how? its a game played with a "ball", that is struck with the "foot"! = FOOTBALL!

  • @olliepfc94 The game is NOT Football, but Association Football. There are many kinds of football. Rugby is a code of Football, and Aussie Rules, and Gaelic. Saying football will mean different things depending on where you are. Soccer comes from the word Association, which is more specific to the code in this video, than football. And the ball is also struck with the head, chest, shin, and knee, and the keeper can use his hands. How does this tie into the title?

  • @BigkKinny well let me ask you, can you take penalties with your chest? can you take free kicks with your head? no. with american football, you carry it by hand, and only one person can kick it. so does that mean that the whole game should be focused on that one player who kicks it? the sport is called football because every player uses their feet, goalkeepers also us their feet for goal kicks. look tbh im nt gonna waste my time with something that ur too dumb to understand.

  • @olliepfc94 Haha. Once again, Football is a term used for MANY sports. Messi is not a professional football player, but a professional Association Football player. Why would someone put Association in front of Football if it was already Football? Because there ARE MORE THAN ONE kind. To separate it from others. You call it Football for short, British said Soccer for short, and now we say soccer for short. Either way its the same game. And FTR soccer is more accurate...

  • @BigkKinny because kick ball sounds gay like u soo stop hating nigga

  • @therealshady8 No ones hating...

  • @olliepfc94 I suggest you actually study American Football before you speak on it. Why does everyone have to bring up American Football with soccer? Anyways any player can kick the ball in AF.And since you "kick" the ball in soccer why don't they call it "kick ball"? That would make WAAYYYY more sense than football.

  • @BigkKinny u know wat ur problem is? ur just looking for something to argue against. wen everyone else in the whole world believes its called football, u have to be against it. besides, england came up with football so, WE decide wat its called, not a bunch of yanks who have no concept of proper understanding about basic facts. its called football cause everyone kicks it with the foot, end of, bitch.

  • @olliepfc94 My problem is, that I'm correct. When I type "football" in wikipedia it shows Gaelic,Aussie,Soccer,Rugby and American. Now If I type Association Football, or Soccer, it shows the sport in this video. And explain why England made up the word "Soccer". That's right you guys were the first to call it that. And kick means"To strike with ones foot". You don't "kick" something with your hand, or shoulder now do you? Kickball= more sense. In AUS. you say Football, it does NOT mean soccer.

  • Honda's freekick wasn't because of the ball hes amazing

  • IT'S FUCKING SOCCER WHY DO YOU THINK MANCHESTER UNITED HAS A SCHOOL CALLED MANCHESTER UNITED SOCCER CLUB AND NOT FOOTBALL CLUB CHECK IT OUT!!!

  • @sunny2k10thankyou The club is Manchester United F.C. F.C. stands for FOOTBALL CLUB -____-

  • @sunny2k10thankyou "soccer school" is what is used for youth football in the UK.

  • @sunny2k10thankyou It's MUFC not MUSC...idiot...

  • @sunny2k10thankyou Dude, are you being serious... Please do your research before you write stupid comments that make no sense. And only America calls it soccer, the rest of te world (which is like 6.5 billion people) calls it football. And btw it was invented in the UK. So please, just... just fuck off!

  • @MrWazzup96 It wasnt invented in the UK sir, and please do our research the word soccer come from "association" in which the british first called it "soc" and eventually "soccer" and when the sport first trademarked in america it was known as soccer, so the term soccer came from england....have a nice day ;)

  • @NexysFireBrand You are correct with the origin of the term soccer, but Association Football was very much developed in the UK...

  • its a fucking ball, shit me and my mates play with near flat footballs.

  • Whatever Americans feel, we can't name it soccer for them. The whole world calls it football, but I have to put in 'soccer' to search it on Google or Youtube.

And anyways, why would you call a game where you barely touch the ball with your feet football? Sounds weird to me! :\

  • how many euros it cust

  • Lets discuss the slaveworkers who make the ball.

  • Seriously if you have to go to extra measures to find out information on a BALL!?!

You need to recosider your life a little bit.

  • isn't it all the same how we call that? Football or soccer? No better, no worse. In America it's just logical because football is an other game there. I don't understand what's the problem.

But here in Finland it's Jalkapallo and that's it. And ice hockey is much more popular here.

  • adeeeeeeeeeeeedis ? wtf its a-d-i-d-a-s

  • @hjjones123321 It's called an accent dip shit

  • @flameatk oh thank you so much i would have been so lost without you...

  • It has very much to do with the wind ;) they did use it in africa, and is maybe around 1000-2000 m over the sea :) plus the air is a little bitt different there :O

  • K. Honda does not seem to have a problem scoring with this ball from 35yards out. No movement. Perfect hit. All you have to do is hit it like Honda does. Stop bitching about the ball.

  • the guy speaking sounds like kermit the frog

  • they cant say adidas properly and I think we should play the world cup again with a normal football

  • I train my leg by kicking basketballs but then when my friend asked me to kicked his Jabulani. I nearly made his ball lost somewhere in the woods hahah

  • This makes C. Ronaldo's freekicks more awesome!

  • The guy can't even say his name right.

  • in my opinion this ball ruined the world cup. nobody liked it, nobody could get their shots on target cos it was so craply designed, and definately made it one of the worst world cups in recent years.

  • @sjomega The ball was brilliantly designed, it just didn't lend itself well to what was expected of it upon it's initial creation.

  • id say give them there old ball back only if they start suspending divers harsh. soccer is worse to watch now more than ever.

  • this ball is sick! if ya hate the ball, quit football ;) or practice some more.

  • If you like football stop buying anything adidas. Show them what you think.

  • @TheOriginalEntz its called soccer !!!!!!!!!!!

  • does anyone else think the narrator sounds like kermit the frog lmao

  • this football "jabulani" is crazy because when i played wit it it is more harder than usuall because my friend kicked the ball from 30 feet away and i put my hands up and it already hit my hands that ball is unpredictable they should call it unpredictable lol

  • yo, and Iker Casillas masterd the ball movement, VIVA ESPANA!!! from spain :)

  • Nice going Adidas! They had the "Tango", a perfectly good world cup ball that nobody complained about, which also had the most iconic design pattern, and they abandoned it after 98 in an attempt to re-invent the wheel, making progressively worse balls as a result, and finally succeeded in completely ruining the world cup because footballers who spent years calibrating their passes and shots with normal footballs suddenly had to play with a wobbly balloon. I bet they made a tidy profit though!

  • nasa is just jealous that its more aerodynamic than there shit

  • the ball is shit!

  • will everybody stfu the ball kicks any balls ass

  • i love it

  • Crappy ball.

  • FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER PLEASE

  • I like turtles

  • hey gjfwang fuck u

  • i want the real jabulani, i have the fake one and it behaves like a normal ball which is not as much fun as i thought it would be when i bought it.

  • People act like being popular in the rest of the world makes it good. The rest of the world also drinks dirty water and suffer from malaria, tuberculosis and cholera, all of which only make up a handful of cases in the U.S..

Instead of U.S. needing to learn to like soccer, maybe the rest of the world should learn why soccer is boring. Hopefully in my lifetime, everyone else will learn to mock soccer like the U.S..

  • @gjfwang football is the world's game, there's nothing you can do about it

  • @footballfreestyler19 I don't need to do anything about it.

  • Good thing I got the Top Replique...which doesn't have the weird surface =)

  • The only team/player I hear complaining is the USA and they sucked this year, so until the Dutch or the Spanish say something about the ball, there's nothing wrong with it :P

  • @dudu1125 look whos country invented the term soccer =)

  • In soviet Russia ball moves you.

  • the ball is good for the players if you say it goes every where its going to make you a better player develop more skill

  • What is with the arguing over football vs soccer. Their both names for the same thing.

  • bye bye fifa world cup 2010 coming fifa world cup 2014 spain will win in fifa 2014

  • FOOTBALL guys FOOTBALL not SOCCER!!!! i live for FOOTBALL and i can take a shit on SOCCER!!!!

  • And i bet these comments are mostly from boys...arguing over a ball -__- great going guys you totally made your point over a ball. You score an A ...NOT!! And Theres Nothin Wrong Americans. You People just talk your craziness through the computer -.- yawn

  • No matter how much scientific evidence there is, I still don't understand how the Jabulani's overall design is such a flaw.

  • i love it , when balls spin. it looks so awesome.

  • congrats, they just invented a volleyball for the world cup... hahaha

  • thats why keep it on teh ground boys

  • americans jst shouldnt play football

  • feels like a balloon....hilarious comment

  • I think this is the third tournament in a row that they made a shitty ball. For fucks sake it's a football. It doesn't have to be complicated.

  • It`s a football not a socerball

  • @abuus we call it soccer becuase we already have a sport called football, if i could i would like it to change

  • @sammysf415 how bout u call football football and ur stupid head banging game something else, u barely use ur feet in it anyway

  • @DeloWaters im just one person, and all i can do is change myself on what i call it not change how american society calls it

  • @sammysf415 also quick fact: soccer was 1st coined in england not america. look it up

  • @sammysf415 the sport we americans call football should actually be called "egghand" and soccer shuld be called football since its played with the foot

  • @sammysf415 I know! It doesn't make any sense for us to call it football because you rarely touch the ball with your feet in the first place

  • @sammysf415 no u would call it a soccer not a soccerball

  • @sammysf415 the real football was made before the american football

  • @sammysf415 well .. when you called it football you already had football :P

  • @sammysf415 we should call "football(usa)" american rugby, cause our football is come from rugby itself

  • @sammysf415 Uh, dude american football came close to 700 years AFTER Futbòl (1170 A.D.) was invented by some pansys that were kicked out of baseball and felt like throwing around their grandmothers stockings.

  • @sammysf415 why the hell is it called football, thats so stupid.

you only use your feed to run with in football, but in soccer you use the foot to shoot and play with!

  • @bj4rt1 the reason why its called football cuz the ball is a foot long

  • @sammysf415 football came b4 american football and its so stupid that american football is called that

  • @sammysf415 Yes but "Football" as the name suggests is played with feet, a 'foot'. And as for "American Football" Is like Rugby but more pussy as u have pads and use your hands. Your better off stealing handballs name.

  • @VanillaCreamTeky ok let ray lewis or brian dawkins hit on eof ur rugby players and c who the pussy is.

  • who really cares. football or soccer. isnt this game suppose to bring people 2gether.. its the worlds sport

  • @sammysf415 american football is not a sport

  • @TheGunnerx23 thats crap i don't play it i'm assuming you don't but it is deffinetly a sport

  • @abuus people in the u.s. call it a socerball. there is a sport that is like Rugby but, they called it football. thats why football in other countries, like the dr is soccer in the u.s.

  • @abuus Football, is most related to the american football, and soccer is a more European word

  • @BrickMovieProduction Football, is european football. American football is American rugby.

  • @KingsnazurClick American Football and Rugby isn´t the same

  • @BrickMovieProduction I know, but its much closer to rugby, than football

  • @abuus welcome to america bitch

  • everyone shut up who cares about the ball i got the replica its really fun to play with

  • @nightlyguy781

no u didnt u fucked up twat. we had pretty much won the wr. then the japs attacked you. we saved ur ass more than u saved ours. and look who lost veitnam.. cocky fuckers.and z is pronounced Zed not zee

  • Its fucking fine, i think its awesome. They just gotta get used to it. But if it feels like a balloon, thats not good.

  • yes, this is true, but who are dan kennedy?, just a guy who plays in a crap team.

  • Germany is on fire!

  • jesus i didnt realise i would be this pissed off over the fucking brainless comments made by americans.

  • this ball sucks..

i'm portuguese, and this ball was bad for everyone.. why they make stuff that is actually good enough, the other soccer balls, from other tournaments add no complains, why complicate?

  • God this ball goes in straight lines, its accurate too!

  • It's scientifically proven that the new ball is more than twice as round compared to a perfect sphere.

  • I saw one of these for sell at sports chalet!

  • @RoundstoneO they are available to the general public.

  • I LOve THis BAll!!

  • Thats a good collectors item!! A new design for a World Cup, thats history!

  • It's actually less accurate because it swerves more on knuckleballs and curves less on shots with spin. Very hard to pick out a corner and bend it.

  • @pachuilo not really its just that most of the players suck at dominating the ball, Diego Forlan has done it very well for example the free kick against Ghana

  • It's actually less accurate because it swerves more on knuckleballs and curves less on shots with spin. Very hard to pick out a corner and bend it.

  • ya i dont get it

  • they got the gayest players for the test.

  • the ball will not be used after this tournament.

  • @STILLNAKEDBULLWINKLE Wrong, the German League will use it and Probably the MLS in the US

  • @ajbigbro who cares really. soccer is a little girl's sport ;)

  • why you didn't show the inner structure of the ball? have you checked THAT out too?, it has a movil gravitational center

  • in poland we use human head for football

  • but but, both teams are using the same ball so they have equal disadvantages :L

  • try to see this with the vuvuzela button

  • Lets go back to traditional!

  • well i have try this ball already and is light for kicking and easy scoring.. i tough i got stronger n better but it was the ball Dam you ADIDAS!!!

  • don't blame the ball.. blame Robert Green.. LoL
