  • I work my biceps when i work my back because most back exercises u are working out your bicep, or sometimes i do leg and biceps i dont do to many exercises or to many reps when training my arms cuz u dont need 2 many 2 grow just have 2 work it out good.

  • For growth you typically want to do lower reps with higher weight. (Not cheating, but concentrated, slow, HEAVY lifts). It is good however, to do a week or so of super high reps (15-20) every month of 5 weeks to keep your muscles guessing...

  • @BeFit4Free 1-6 reps is for strenght, 6-12 is for muslce growth. So it doesn't make sence what u are saying

    Problem is most people dont have a clue how to train, they watch these videos and read bodybuiding magazines and follow routines they've seen other people doing.

  • way too many isolation exercises, do more barbell/ standing dumbbell curls they are much better for mass, preachers are good for peak but arent the best at stimulating the most muscle, nice vid anyhow

  • Hell yea- the 45-on-each-side preacher I've just made 10reps 2sets w/o spot. Ain't it insane?! And I superset that with standing dumbbell curls & sometimes hammer curls altogether.

    It's worth cutting your time using supersets in the gym. Just put up with the pain. And don't underestimate spots. They'll get you there!

    in this vid, jesse does goes up with the weight which builds mass and in the second half he starts to go down which builds endurance

    can you do both in the same day or should you build mass one day and endurance the other?

  • Why do people hate so much? One might reach the conclusion, that to some extent, on whatever level, jealousy is directly connected to hate and anger.   • Guys... I dont know where to begin... please dont follow this guys advise. Youre better of learning from your own mistakes than going thrugh his and then yours. And yes, I am MUCH bigger than him and yes I am A LOT younger than him too... feel the weight... own it... lift heavy but not like this guy. For his size and tendon strength he is just not ready for this weight.

  • Whats the point of lifting weight he cant do by himself? Maybe the last 2 reps of a 10 - 12 reps set, but not after 3 repetitions. On the preacher curls he used way to much weight. It's better with quality befor quantity.

  • Stay dedicated my man. Eat clean, use supps (don't do growth, don't do "juice", don't do t3s or anything else that can kill your liver and overall, you), work out smart and heavy (mostly). Get plenty of rest. And do it all over again. Read as much as you can about all of the different styles of bodybuilding, powerlifting, weightlifting, strength training and you'll find your niche. It'll happen!

  • People who say that he's lifting too heavy, are the guys who are scared to work hard.  You guys feel a little pain, and stop. When you feel the pain in the bicep, and you continue to push for another rep 2 or 3 reps, that is how you rip your muscles and then it grows from there. Trust me i know, and it's obvious that this guy in the video knows too. So stop criticizing the guy just cause you guys are scared to push yourselves.

  • I forgot to say that the only thing i disagree with is the sheer amount of sets he is doing. Wayyy to many sets and would lead to overtraining for most people.

  • Contrary to a lot of the comments, I actually think his form is fine. And you're supposed to go as heavy as you can with good form to optimize things.

    Want proof look at his legs, really imberesing. All serous body builders know that the legs is close to 50% of your body, and really important to train them as well.

  • no its not. in 6 months i added 3 inchs to my arms and only took 20 pounds. im 15 and my arms are 16 inchs =D

    so happy. the best thing to do to be bigger or get mass or be healthy is to go to the gym and ask a personnal trainer some help. the ONLY good thing to do.

  • I know isolation movements are all the rage with biceps but I personally found my arms blew up the most with pull ups and dips.

  • Pullups do the trick when working the biceps. It also hits the back and forearms. Save time in the gym by knocking out one exercise and working multiple muscle groups. Same thing with dips. Shoulders, chest, delts and triceps. Do some bodyweight squats, throw in some jogging and you've got yourself a fullbody workout. Oh yea, do the abs of course with leg raises, knee ups (hanging from a pullup bar) also hyperextensions for the lower back.

  • I think the guy has the right attitude, but he may be a little misguided in some of his approach imo. I think he did too many preacher-curl style exercises. You should start out with something like barbell curls or concentration curls (anything that will give you a full range of motion). He wants to be strong in a hurry; take your time dude.

    alot of guys with huge arms barely do direct bicep work...they are doing heavy rows, and chin ups.

  • buyystocks, good for you. I'm speaking of the majority of muscleheads in California gyms who just do the basic upperbody bulking routine. You know what I'm talking about: Big bench press, bicep curls, tricep press downs. All this done extensively with no stamina or cardio training. Of course they also like to rack up the 45 degree leg press with 8 or more 45lb plates on each side as an ego booster for all to see. They move up a few times and let the weight slam.

  • banhaman, you do have somewhat of a point. It is a very vain sport which is all about appearance. Most women hate the way these big bodybuilders look and prefer more of the lean, chiseled look. Adam Corrola of KROQ radio in CA. mentioned that the only people that check out bodybuilders are other guys. "Dude, did you check out the arms on that guy? Musta been like 24 in at least!" "Whoa, I know. I want arms like that!"

  • This biceps training video would look better if Jesse had a tank top / muscle shirt on, but at least you can see the exercise. Jesse has some big biceps though! If you want a good biceps workout, follow Jesse Cunningham.
