I rode the R160 V train 2 times today! NO LIE!!!!!! 1st time at 7:35am at Elmhurst av station on April 28, 2010 and at 3:48pm at the 2 av station on the same date. I was really surprised to see it!!!! When I was walking down the stairs at the elmhurst av station to the platform, I was expecting an R160 R train but it came out to be an R160 V TRAIN!!!! And at 2 av station, I was waiting for an F train when a R160 V train arrived!!

The MTA put the 160's on those lines. The V sound was taken on Friday and the R was taken on Saturday.

If i'm correct, it was actually a R160 F train, but the conductor had screwed or played around with the train and turned it into a R160 V train.

i overheard jamaica yard workers saying after the E and F have all their 42/40m/32 replaced with 160 and the F's 46 going to the A then the R and V will get 160. btw i think R r160 is soon, i think the mta is taking 46 from the R and giving them to the A also because i have seen an increase in 42/40m sets on the R.
