@toriashley11 learn to spell and shut up, she wasn't prepared her horse has never bucked before and when a horse suddenly takes flight on you you don't sit there going through a tick list of what you need to do you think OH CRAP I'm coming off.

Actually, you don't wanna bring the reins up, because that makes the horse rear. When your horse takes off on you or begins bucking, you wanna keep your hands very low and swing their head around and spin them in a VERY tight circle. It's never failed me.
Thanks for the advice! Yeah I'm usually pretty good at remembering the whole one reign stop thing (one of the horses I ride at work takes off with me all the time :/ lol) but I panicked I guess lol. I'd never had a horse buck before that lol. Gotta learn sometime I guess! haha thanks though!

I went to buy a horse for my work, and when i got on the horse would just do circles and more circles, it was weird... probably a rare case, but just be aware i guess.

I own a exbronc and the ONLY way to control him is with short reins, and pulling his head UP when he starts to buck. If a horse is allowed his head, he'll drop it and throw even bigger bucks. Plus you want to KICK the horse FOWARD so they know they cant get away with it The girl riding in this video did perfectly fine! If the horse was REARING than she wouldn't have wanted to shorten her reins.

I would suggest LOTS of transitions from trot to canter one or 2 strides, back to trot, up to canter one or 2 strides. Keep doing lots of up and down transitions and then more and more canter strides. This will get him/her thinking during the transitions instead of just going to bucking. Promise me you won't continue to accept getting bucked off. Work with your horse and help him/her stay calm while going from trot to canter.

Ouchie!! My friend at lessons today got bucked off today. Chancey the arabian bucked and she fell out of the saddle but managed to stay on but then he buck later on and she flipped over his shoulder and landed on her back. She's a tough little rider got back on immediately
