This would actually make a good anime/manga, any "H-scenes" in the game are pretty much token scenes that do not really add a heck of a lot to the story itself, they could be cut or replaced with tamer 'romance' scenes and you'd have an ideal adventurer/shoujo series.
Hands down, the best VN that has been officially translated into english. I loved this game and I was fine with the story being a linear "boy meets girl", with the girl being a trap determined to become a "real" prince,their bonding, the other princesses, the waltz, blahblah until the bad guy came.. in fact, the second chapter even if it did have some answers and other nice stuff was disapponting because the villain wasn't very interesting. Too bad there isn't an anime or a sequel at least.

@LazarusLL The VN genre is not about hentai at all and many Vn Games are more intresting that most of the animes in the market. Also many aclaimed anime tittles are in fact, at best, adaptations of originals storylines developed for the Vn format. I.e: Fate, Kanon, Da capo, School days, Air, Clannad just to name a few, and imo all of those stories belong into the games as the anime just does not make justice to the depth of their plots. Sorry for my English and give the Vn genre a try.

jesus peoples need to actually finish this game instead of comment things like this game is mediocre princess waltz is a great game that could easily be made a great anime the chars are really well developed each with a strong personality on their own way the story is a very epic one that doesn't only involve wars but also plots and misterys that you won't understand unless you finish the game, and yes is linear but thats exactly what makes the story so epic, so give it a try!!

I one thing I notice while playing this (Mind you, I've yet to finished still on chapter 18, little reluctant to finish the last little bit as I know how it's going to turn out... no Lun ending!) is that it bares quite a few similarities to Fate/Stay Night, like the Princess Waltz for example, very similar to the Holy Grail War, there's alot more similarities but I'm not going to go into detail, but it doesn't feel like a knock-off at all despite the obvious resemblences, it's still its own game
This visual novel vastly surpasses Fate/Stay Night, or any Visual Novel for that matter.
This sets the bars so high, I'm disappointed to find that none has gotten even near the level of epicness of this. Fate/Stay Night only barely catches up to it.

Yeah, it definitely needs an anime. Hopefully one that doesn't get all screwed up like Tsukihime... But what I really want to see is a fighting game based on this. THAT would be freaking awesome.
