Randy was controlling and they had marriage problems sad though because they would have been better to never part. There reunification in WCW was never the same. The wedding at WWF SummerSlam 1991: A Match Made In Heaven/A Match Made In Hell was actually their way of renewing their wedding vows. Elizabeth took the whole thing very seriously. So sad that it didn't work out between them. But then again, Randy WAS crazily overprotective of her, so you can't really blame her for wanting to get away from him. Still, it's cool that they were able to stay friends and work together in WCW for several years.

I am not sure when the papers finalized everything, maybe late 1992 or early 1993, but by the time Savage lost the WWF Championship to Ric Flair on September 1, 1992, it was quite clear to everyone that the marriage was over and that there was no way to repair it. This event took place on April 19, 1992, so that means that in the span of almost 6 months, everything fell apart completely. How sad is that? :(
