Don't know what you heard "siliconsoul" but the guitar was deadnuts on. You got those offbeat rhythms thrown in like at :10 - : 15 That's how Nick would do it. Gives the song so much feeling...instead of the same ole shit over and over. Once again, dw.......outstanding in every way. btw that's one great sounding guitar.

@SocialismCross ...if you can find a video of Nick Drake performing let me and the rest of the world know. I've done some searching myself and have been unsuccessful. I don't think there are any. Nick Drake was very withdrawn and actually did not like to perform and this explains in a lot of ways why he never became popular. It's ironic, but he's made more money postumously since his song "Pink Moon" was used in that VW commercial back in 2001, and now this song in the ATT commercial.

@SocialismCross ..."pink moon" was used in the VW Cabrio commercial about 9 or 10 years ago. "From the Morning" was the song used more recently in the AT&T commercial where they're draping the U.S. in orange, including the arch. I never really heard of Nick Drake until these commercials. He died in 1974 at the age of 26 from an overdose of his antidepressant medication. Some speculate it was suicide. His story is very interesting.

@SocialismCross ...I don't think there are any videos of Nick Drake performing. Someone has a video of him walking away from the camera at some festival somewhere, but it doesn't even show his face, so I'm not sure it's even him.

@tremoloheart well, I agree Plectrum34 reproduces exactly as the studio recordings. The reason I like this approach here is it captures a feeling...an artisitc quality that comes from the heart; an understanding not just of the technicality of playing Nick Drakes music, but also understanding the feeling behind it, which I feel dw94702 has captured very well.

@pixiewings1 ..thanks for responding, and I agree with you. A cover doesn't have to try to be exactly like the original. The reason I like Plectrum34's covers of Nick Drake is because there are no videos of Nick Drake performing (what a shame) and so his covers, being so exact and as much like Nick Drake as they are.... well, I just really appreciate his efforts at duplicating the songs as much as possible. But I agree with you..a cover should express your interpretation too.
