ok so theres alot of people on this thread that dont know their gti's from 1999-2005 is know as the mk4 body style the gti's in this body stlyle come with 3 different motors , 1.8 turbo , 1999-2002.5 is a 12 valve vr6 with a 5 speed transmission and 2003-2005 vr6's are a 24 valve with a 6 speed transmission , there is also a mk4 r32 that is in the unioted states is a 2004 that has a 3.2 vr6 and a 6 speed transmission with awd , if the gti in this video was a 24 valve it would shit on that rsx

@brentwood06 There is nothing that says the car is tuned at all. Sure he could have kpro, but might not be tuned. He wouldnt have been able to keep up with a street tuned bolt on rsx.. Not all mods were explained in this video... but I have a bolt on street tuned rsx (well what I had when I made the video thats on my profile, crappy vid though lol). His stock vr6 wouldnt stand a chance. Plus the rsx driver is obviously a noob that needs to learn how to shift correctly.

Is the out come really a big surprise? The K20A2 is a superior engine over the VR6 in every way. The head stock flows at least 3 times as much without even being given bigger valves or a P&P. The K20A2 responds so much better to the 12 VR6 too. Over all it's a great engine. This being said. I have maxed out my 95 VR6 Jetta with N/A mods. Head,valves,shrick vgi,drcs268's,GIAC,etc. I love my VR6 but I am not blind with pride over it.

My car is a 2001 gti vr6 12v not 16v, vr6 would smoke 1.8t because of torque, vr6 is just a faster car, the 2003's come in 24v which would easily keep up with a stock rsx, but this is a 12v gti vr6 against a 2002 type-s.

the .:R32 doesn't have a 3.2 V6 turbo at all, unless you install a aftermarket system

the GTI on the other hand do have a turbo, stock..

just a regular 3.2 V6 naturally aspired engine
