My six-year-old had Chiari decompression surgery in Nov. 2008. He was diagnosed in 2006 and the nuerologist did not inform us of his condition then. Two years later a woman from our church introduced us to another woman who has a child with ACM. She helped us find the doctors notes on the diagnosis and got us through to a Nuerosurgeon. God led us here to meet these people. NO DOUBT. God bless you and little John.
Hello I will pray for your son and family. I am 45 male I have ACM I and Tethered cord. Dr B. did my Tethered cord. I also had Dr Chan at the Chiari Inst. Your son was in good hands. Your son is so beautiful & strong.. I also have ACM along with Syringomyelia and have had 2 surgeries - Faith is what gets me through life and I wish you and your family all the faith & blessings!!
im 16yrs on an im waiting 4 surgery, i live in new zealand and no one here knows about what ACM with a syringomyelia. im finding it really hard to find more about it, and not be able talk to my friends and family about it because i cant even tell them what it is that i have when i dont know for myself

I have Arnold Chiari Malformation, as well as SM.. I had a decompression 7 years ago..My Prayers are with your son..
