  • @KarmicJuggernaut You can purchase the entire 60-minute DVD by going to our website or calling 1-800-277-1977, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. California time.

  • My dad was a part of the 101st. JB. Joe Bielesch.

  • I flew there in 70-71. The valley was beautiful scenery from above.. but wouldn't have wanted to been on the ground. My hat's off to the grunts.

  • @USGolfChamp The feeling is mutual; pilots got us in (tanxalot) and out (double tanxalot) of some bad assed places. You tipped your hat to us grunts (we're not used to that), but we all owe a lot to all of the flight crews who brought us food and ammo, took away our wounded, and provided fire power when we needed it. The Huey crew who dropped us off at a hot LZ near the Laotion border in late 70 felt like fish out of water when the ship got hit, but they probably did the same thing again.

  • bad ass music to this good job!

  • I was assigned to Camp Eagle Co L 75th Inf (ABN) Ranger May 1969-june 1970, we did many patrolls in A Shau Valley!

  • It would be a lifelong wish come true to talk to some vietnam veterans, but i also understand that no veteran would ever want to talk about...to me they are true heroes and warriors and should never be overlooked. Love and respect from Ireland!!!

  • The Huey helicopters are such beautiful machines, good thing we still use them today

  • nice flick... was in ashau myself for about 45 days...loads of fun...nice weather and the chicks were extra nice; partied day and night.....but seriously, was glad when chopper lifted us out...went into loas after ashau even though "we weren't there."

After that we made quite a few moves to Veghal, B-Ham Bastgone Rakkason, Kim Quie and a few others. Was on the guns for awhile then ended up in FDC. My name is Darmon Jones and I was from Ohio at the time. I have talked to a few people I was with over the years. My e-mail is fe390cui@msn.com. • 2:13 to 2:40....done that so many times. Feet hanging in the wind...chopper banks hard left.....and you look straight down a cool 3000 ft into oblivion as you pick up airspeed cool stuff!!!! LOL

  • Cool! They should have all these videos at the museum on post & in all the displays in each headquarters building. Really gives the history of the division more substance when you see video of it. Thanks to all you Nam vets for setting the standard & laying the ground work for the 101st to be the most kick ass piece of the XVIII Airborne Corps & world's only air assault division. We tried hard as Hell to emulate you guys & take what you learned to Iraq with us.

  • That was a hellhole - lots of memories for me having been there from 69-70. Makes you grow up too fast.
