Just because someone founded the band, does not mean that he excels that of his band members.. It is just my personal opinion that the clean vocals are far better.. I didn't really like We Are The Ocean's old material, but the new material shines more with Dan Brown somewhat standing down for the other members..

Emo IS a genre, but it's pretty much dead nowadays, check bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, or just check Emo on Wikipedia for a list of bands that ARE emo. There's so many misconception of what emo is, and screamo... Bands like Asking Alexandria are NOT screamo, Saetia are screamo. Wiki that too.

@ronaldo108 Interesting you say that; I was browsing through youtube vids and when I listened to an Ocean song I immediately though of Alexisonfire (I probably haven't given Alexis any thought for something like 3-4 years until I heard this band).

I'm not saying that they sound alike, but it certainly seems to be registering in the brain similarly with many people.
