no one who actually watched the celtics last year can honestly say that Rajon Rondo had no responsibility. It was his responsibility to lead three of biggest players in the NBA on the court in only his second year in the league. No pressure on the young kid, right? Did you watch the finals? Don't you remember Tony Parker in the Finals when he was a sophomore. He had to be benched many times for Speedy Claxton because of his inconsitency, exactly like Rondo. But in the end, Parker came through for the Spurs and they won their first NBA title. Parker was playing with some H.O.Fs too; Tim Duncan, David Robinson. And in Game 6 of the Finals last year, Rondo had a crazy game. 21 pts, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, 1 turnover. But I guess that was unneeded.

Here's my list of the best young PGs in the game: CP3, D-Will, Rose, Harris, Rondo. Thats taking into account what they will do in the future. Yes, Rondo is not the best shooter in the NBA. But he doesn't need to be. He can score 10-20 points just by driving to the rim, which he can do better than most PGs in the NBA, and no, not all PGs can do that. He also provides great defense and great passes to set up the big three.

I don't see how you could possibly say that Rajon Rondo isn't a great pointguard. At age 22, he led his team to a championship. no one who actually watched the celtics last year can honestly say that Rajon Rondo had no responsibility. It was his responsibility to lead three of biggest players in the NBA on the court in only his second year in the league. No pressure on the young kid, right? Rondo came up huge last year and has grown tremendously. He was a key component to their success last year and, I believe, will prove to play an even bigger role in their title run this year.

Did you watch the finals? Don't you remember Tony Parker in the Finals when he was a sophomore. He had to be benched many times for Speedy Claxton because of his inconsitency, exactly like Rondo. But in the end, Parker came through for the Spurs and they won their first NBA title. Parker was playing with some H.O.Fs too; Tim Duncan, David Robinson. And in Game 6 of the Finals last year, Rondo had a crazy game. 21 pts, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, 1 turnover. But I guess that was unneeded.

I don't think you know the meaning of one dimensional. Sure, he can' shoot, but he can both finish AND pass with the best of them. Some guys can only finish, some guys can only pass. There's a couple dimensions. He also rebounds exceptionally well for a PG, another dimension. And he defends better than almost every other PG, yet another dimension. I don't think you take defense into account. He's holding opposing PGs to 38 percent from the field this season, you can look it up if you want.

He'd average 10 assists easily if he had full reign over that offense; but once again, thats the beauty of the Celtics. One player doesn't have to carry them; it could be Ray Allen one night, Pierce the next, Kg another night, and even Rondo another night, like when he took over the game against the Jazz. Here's my list of the best young PGs in the game: CP3, D-Will, Rose, Harris, Rondo. Thats taking into account what they will do in the future. Harris is a better scorer than Rondo, but Rondo is a better defender, rebounder, and most importantly, passer. What you don't realize is that if Rondo had a larger role on another team, he'd have better stats. Maybe you think he'd be shit on another team, but I believe that he'd average much better numbers if he didn't have to defer to the Big 3 so much.

Outplaying people head 2 head is nothing. it is what you do to the league that matters. cp3 outplayed 69 out of the 82 guards he played last year. so who gives a shyt if rondo outplays 25 guards a year when cp3 has an upper hand on mostly every guard he faces? seriously i dont get what you are trying to enforce... are you saying rondo is as good as cp3, d-will? or baron, devin? who? because those 4 are better than rondo. so seriously, who are the young pg's rondo is at par with? devin has been killing teams, cp3 is cp3 and d-will is d-will. so who is rondo on par with? i see rose being better than him at the point in a year. so what YOUNG PG as you said is he better than? (young is 20-26 btw, plz do not list crappy young pgs like felton)

One dimensional on offense means that you can only shoot the ball, or you can only dunk the ball. Rondo is a playmaker; he's excellent at both finishing in the lane, passing in the lane, and finding the open man no matter where he is on the court. Guys back off him because of his lack of a shot and he still blows by them.

seriously think about this. cp3 won 56 games in the western freakin conference. he was playing the spurs, lakers all day not the fukkin raptors/sixers. put rondo in the west and hes not even considered a good guard. he would be the raymond felton of the west. Why does rondo play so well in the east? because the east SUCKS there are hardly ANY guards there. you know that if rondo is put in the west, he is nothing. cp3-d'will-t.p-nash-baron would rape his ass if he were in the western conference

Calderon, Rose, Harris, Miller, Iverson are nothing? I don't think so. Rondo has owned Calderon, and Iverson twice this year. He's owned Miller once, and he outplayed Rose the one time they met (they meet again tonight). He hasn't faced Devin Harris yet. And D-Will's the only guy in the Western point guards that has owned Rondo over the last two years; he's held CP3 in check 3 times, he and TP had a good duel last year, he outplayed Nash the one time they met, and i dont think he's faced baron.

calderon sucks this year, miller sucks this year, iverson is 9-10 because he has held down the pistons, rose is a rookie if you didnt notice, miller is playing like crap this year, (felton, sessions, ridnour, quinn)-all crap. the only players on your list that make their team better are harris, rose. jeez there are only 3 pgs in the race to mvp look at the west baron, parker, cp3, d-will, nash, billups can all make it.

Everybody who talks about the Celtics say that the number one reason that the Celtics are so good this year is that Rondo has risen his play to an All-Star level. And if you think that the Big 3 is the only reason he's good, than you're a minority, because the kid's got talent and he's showing it.

and BTW, if i can remember correctly, duncan was a 2nd yr player when they won the ring. no one even knew he would be a HOF player... not like garnett, allen, pierce... all with huge legacies close to their prime. seriously, rondo rode the celts to a championship. he was not the reason they won the ring. take him out and celts win game 4. celts could have won game 6 without him also. lol and he is a great pg?

Yes, Rondo is not the best shooter in the NBA. But he doesn't need to be. He can score 10-20 points just by driving to the rim, which he can do better than most PGs in the NBA, and no, not all PGs can do that. He also provides great defense and great passes to set up the big three.
