  • Is the fermenter that pixel he's tipping up?

  • Sugar in beer will turn out tasting like cider with no head. Guys if you r new to brewing don't use more than 20% sugar, use malt or a coopers brew enhancer. Also consider temperature control and a good quality yeast

  • My lager kit is in the fermenter, but next day now,not much airlock action at 22C. But,there is some scum ring forming at the top. With a wee bit of settlings at the bottom. I hope it's gunna turn out ok...?

  • The wort should be boiled: that sugar and her hand and spoon are potential infection points.

  • how much sugar to put in?

  • Hi mate, i have only put one oxidising tab in a 500ml bottle at the bottling stage, will my beer be flat and ruined

  • LOL,

    Good old Paul M.

You can tell he can't remember his line when she queries him about how much beer it makes...

    "Ummmmmmmm".

  • wow... so much terrible information.

  • Hahahaha, it's Paul Mercurio. Greatest video ever.

  • Keep it simple stupid (KISS) what these guys show you is spot on.If you are begining out making HB follow the Instructions too a T...

  • i heard it makes a nicer tasting beer if you use demerara sugar instead of the normal stuff. is that true?

  • Use dextrose with the coopers kits. Just use 1.2kg of dextrose instead of white sugar (DONT use brown sugar!) and its just the same.

  • How not to make beer successfully.

    Avoid Sugar. Use dextrose.

  • what about the dextrose?

  • WHAT!!!!

  • is this the guy from simply ballroom? cheers from america

  • Hi, you are right, he has a cooking show here in Australia.

  • lol! great, movie was good too!

  • lol my first thought

  • it is! someone from australia confirmed!

  • AEVY1912 yes there is you put 2kgs of sugar when you are making the beer

  • is there a way to make the lager stronger

  • Thanks mate. i also lost my tape and have not made beer in two years so this was a great help! cheers!

  • I have just bought a Coopers brewing kit, set it up last night!! Wish me luck!!

  • Yes, having purchased a Coopers Homebrew kit you will need it.

Their starter kits are perceived to be good value as they are advertised in Big W/K-Mart catalogues. For your best bet in a starter kit, check out a local home brew store (if it is still there). They quite often have better valued kits for a little more, with better grade products plus more, like sanitisers/sterilisers.

Funnilly enough Coopers make great commercial beer, yet they don't dispense them in plastic bottles. hmmmm.

  • I use coopers draft with Coopers Brew Enhancer 2 and it comes out great.

It tastes like carton cold beer CHEERS

  • Try Farmland Draught instead of Coopers Draught, otherwise for a great draught, try the Morgans Australian Draught. The Morgans draught is fantastic.

BTW Carlton Cold is brewed differently with a better grade yeast, designed for lower temperatures.

  • Coopers IPA is the one to trust. Also try the Lager. I tried the australian lager not so long ago, didnt come out the best.

  • The IPA (black label) is great. The std white label lager is ordinary. The black label is one of the best lagers you will have.
