I'm a right fielder, I have trouble throwing the ball, When I throw to either 3rd or home my pitches either curve to the right of them or just go out of the way of which I want them to go to, Or when I throw my ball does not make it there. How do I throw hard and make sure my ball gets to its target?
@ThatUsernameIsTaken4 The video is the basic fundamentals of throwing a baseball. It is tough to know exactly what your problem may be without seeing your throwing mechanics. Where are you from?
Im a catcher and an outfielder and I've had some arm issues in the past but the big problem for me right now is, I played a lot of football last fall and now that im picking up a baseball again, my arm wants to throw it like a football and all my throws are either into the ground or over the person's head. any suggestions?
Im a catcher and an outfielder and I've had some arm issues since i was about 12 but my main problem right now is, i played a lot of football last fall, and now that im picking up a baseball again, my arm wants to throw the ball like a football and its coming out as a curve basically. Also my release point has been really screwy and along with the football problem, im either throwing it into the ground or over the person's head. any suggestions? i really need some help here thanks

@hawkswin96 I had the same types of issues after playing qb during the fall in high school...you just need to start throwing the ball frequently again. Think about keep your fingers behind the ball and throw the ball across the seams.
Similar to the last comment, I moved over to the left side of the infield, switching from 2B to short now, and a lot is similar between the positions other than the throw.. which I find myself struggling with. I have plenty of arm strength to make the throw, I just feel lost with the mechanics from the transfer to the actual process of throwing the ball, which has resulted in quite a few throwing errors. Any advice?
@warsaw26baseball I had some of the same issues when I made that switch from 2b to SS. I think when I made the move I tried to do things quicker than I had at 2nd. I also tried to throw the ball a lot harder than I had at 2b. I started throwing better when I started to mentally treat SS the way I had at 2b. I stopped trying to do to much, stopped rushing, stopped trying to fire every throw across the infield. I think doing this will help you too.
@TouchEmAllBaseball It sort of did, I appreciate it. I also had been working on getting my momentum more towards first when I throw, less glove patting to save time.. avoiding rushing.. little things, that seemed to help. I made the transition mid-way through this year's high school season, and by the end of my summer season, I felt almost completely comfortable with the throw.
ive been told that when I throw my elbow is going under my shoulder, so im not getting anything on the ball.... what can I do to work on getting it overhand
@ajs1850 Well it really depends...There are potentially a lot of different reasons a pitcher might throw with a low elbow so it is tough to tell without seeing video footage of your mechanics.
hey touchemallbaseball I throw about 80-82 in high school as a junior pitching. Comment on my videos
