They are not always turnbase. It is a hope that you can get prepared for your next attack kinda style. You can use haste to increase the bars loading time. Also 12 wasn't turned base. You should try it.

Hey guys, the complete tracklist of the OST is available. But....of the 79 tracks 36 credit Mizuta as composer. I have to say I'm disappointed, because with all due respect, Mizuta is not a very good composer. If I was a producer, I'd have Hamauzu composing everything, so that he could create a cohesive soundtrack with new sounds and themes while at the same time linking back to his ost for XIII with the use of variations on a theme, etc. For me, this would have been ideal.

Uematsu wrote soundtracks in this manner throughout the series, in VI terra/tina's theme was employed incredibly for a range of different emotional atmospheres and the same can be said of 'to zanarkand' and 'yuna's theme' in 10. I don't see that Hamauzu rammed the theme down our throats more than this... there's plenty of actual content on XIII's soundtrack anyhow.

Fair play, maybe it's just my opinion. Difference is I find Uematsu's compositions extremely emotional, the only track in XIII that did anything for me whatsoever was the track playing over Hop's confrontation with Snow. Other than that I found it dull and repetitive.

@ReignOfMat It's not repetitive. There is them within FF XIII that was used in multiple songs. If you go back and look at other soundtracks from other FFs they will have a theme within them as well. Also Uematsu still had an influence in XIII's soundtrack just not as much as his other works.

Let's face it: XIII was a pretty bad way to introduce FF on the HD consoles. I personally loved it, because of its story, graphics and characters. But we all know the linearity and the lack of dungeons made it feel like a movie. But, it was a damn good movie :P

Anyway, I'm glad they've made a sequel with dungeons, multiple endings and elements that give it a real FF feel. This game will be what XIII should've been :D
