Church leaders should dress nice. I dress up in nice clothes when I go to Church to show respect for God. The fact that He doesn't care what I wear is all the more reason to show Him respect. The buildings at the Vatican are expensive because they were built to honor God as places of worship. Guess what. You're never going to end world hunger and world poverty. I'm not saying you shouldn't feed them or provide assistance for them. However if you have this silly idea that somehow mankind is going to but an end to world hunger and poverty is foolish and very nieve. There's a way but nobody wants to do it. We were in Somolia back in the early 90's but we had a liberal president by the name of Bill Clinton who didn't finish the job. Now we have pirates kipnapping ships for ransom. Africa I'm afraid has always been at the bottom of administration's to do list. We need more military involvment in places like Sudan, Somolia, Zymbabwe, etc. Many countries in Africa has the highest levels of corruption in the world. The UN peacekeepers are a joke.

No government can exist without the sanction of its people. It doesn't matter if it's a democracy or an oppressive dictatorship. It's sheer numbers. The only way to get rid of the government is for its own people to revolt. Foreign intervention never works, as history has shown. It only ends up killing civilians which fuels hate towards the intervening nation (ie: Iran). Every revolution has been the result of ideology and economic deprivation. What's needed is information and desire to change.

Church leaders should dress nice. I dress up in nice clothes when I go to Church to show respect for God. The fact that He doesn't care what I wear is all the more reason to show Him respect. The buildings at the Vatican are expensive because they were built to honor God as places of worship. If you really believed in God, you would offer all your greatest possessions to Him as a show of respect and love.

The beautiful art was created for God. The Catholic Church watches over and takes care of it in honor of God. If the Church was really greedy, it would sell everything and keep the money. Instead, the Church takes care of our expressions of love and faith so that people will be able to experience it for years to come.

The Catholic Church gives most of its money to the poor to help them, and it also honors and celebrates God with beautiful churches and art. One must look at the entire Bible as a whole. The Catholic Church honors God by feeding the poor AND praising him in song and beautiful art. It doesn't have to be one or the other. I know many people that thank God for the Church every day for providing them with a meal and a bed. In fact, during these hard economic times, the Church has been helping more people than ever. Make fun of the Church all you want on incorrect and exaggerated info. But the Church will be there to help you if you need it, no matter how many rocks you throw at it.
