  • To anybody making one of these... if you're gluing, the sandpaper is completely unnecessary (no offense to the person in the video!). On that note, skip the glue all together and use different fittings. Rubber caps (Fernco is the main brand name) will go on and off as many times as you want, will take a beating, and will absolutely hold the water just fine. On my personal slosh pipe, I used expanding plugs. Even more convenient than the rubber caps, and a better look.

  • Well It was so long that I couldnt use it inside the house for the winter so I left it out in the garage and it cracked. I also added some rubber to the ends as several times I dropped it and it cracked again! So its been a learning process!!! lol Other than that its awesome!

  • how has the pipe held up over time? im looking to make myself one soon.

  • just a tip: wrap the threads of the cap with teflon tape, that will stop the leaks

  • @DaBrute

Thanks for the tip ! I also put rubber edging on both ends. One slosh pipe got broken and cracked when it hit the floor. I used the rubber trim from those puzzle foam matts you get at wallmart. The edging? I just duct taped it!

We learn as we go eh? lol

  • Nice job Sister! How much water are you up to now?

  • I labelled this video with Crossfit at the beginning because Crossfit does a lot of overhead lifting. Which i'm terrible at!

So i'm hoping this piece of equipment works out my shoulder issues. And hoping it helps other people that are new to Crossfit ...who are having the same problems !!
