  • Very good video.

  • Cool Video

  • What do you use for all of your intros ? Nice gig keep it up

  • @DjGrantem Blufftitler

  • This video doesn't do your lighting justice. It looks even more amazing in person!

  • This is a great video for your bridal show! Sometimes I just see just picture slideshow on peeps that showcase their services in expo's. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Hi MIke, Great video!! What kind of GOBO projector do you use? Thanks for your help! :)

  • @DJMANNY10 I have about 5 or 6 different ones I use for differant rooms and looks

  • @directsound

umm...i got it!... I purchased the ADJ LED GOBO Projector...but its ok...its not as bright as I though...i guess i have to use another more powerful, but for example...@ 00:44 (the first part on your video) which is that one (what model/brand)? If you can let me know, it will be great...if not...thanks anyway for answering before! :D

  • @DJMANNY10 That it a ETC Source 4 JR Zoom ...I am edting a video on it right now vs. a new @eternallighting Ultra100 it should be up late tonight or tomoarow

    MM

  • @directsound thanks for your help and time Mike!

  • Lastly i have tried to do promos before they are extremely hard to get a professional touch if in doubt i reckon always copy what looks good Sound Connection vids are slick hard to beat. Last thing worth trying is speed up the film slightly where people are dancing they do in action movies to make them look better.

Hope you don't mind the critique just some thoughts so take them or leave them.

    Cheers

  • @WeddingDJBusiness Yes Jason does amazing work but as a great support staff as well.. I am just me myself and I most of the time trying to shoot video, spinn and entertain all at the same time..Damn I need help but but i guess life will go on and I just keep doing what I do..Learn Learn Learn from each event, You would think after 35 yeaes of doing this I have down by now :)

    thanks DJ Mikey Mike

  • @directsound

Right there with you technology is also hard to keep up with, one big learning curve. I've been trying out the imovie 11 with the trailers part and it's helping. almost all the clips are 3-8 second clips changing from midrange to close up and occasional slow frame. all about keeping it nteresting for the viewer.

    Thanks for sharing

  • Probably one of the hardest things to do is showcase your talent and you have a tremendous amount of it. From a DJ point of view some awesome effects and I can only imagine the time that went into planning and setup. But from a marketting point of view it needed to be slicker shorter and showing the emotion of party fun with lights secondary. The 18mins I think could of been 6 three min or less promo vids. Texts and fonts needed to be clearer, and less no WoW's etc Intro looked awesome.

  • @WeddingDJBusiness Great points ...This video I made for a backgroung video for a upcoming Bridal show to play sa people walk by so not so much as a marketing video but I here you . If you go look at the last promo vid Ijust posted with the low fog footage I did slow the footage to make it look better but I thought speeding up dancing will make them look like they were at the Gym ;) but for my next one I'll give it a try if I meke one ...This one only took 5 years to do LOL

    thanks for the input

  • looking good!

  • I'm going to critique some technical details on your vid to better appeal to your clients.

    1. 30 seconds is far too long for your intro segment. Try to cut this in half.

  • 2. The spelling of your company name that scrolls in the lower right corner is so slow it reminds me of Hooked on Phonics. Beyond the scroll speed, it's incredibly distracting to your product, causing people to focus on your company name instead of your product/presentation. Instead try to keep a non scrolling, non flashing logo or basic company name present throughout the entire video.

  • 3. Lastly, try to maintain a continuity in your font. The stuff in the intro segment is easier to read, so keep that same font for the duration of the video.

  • @djbenno Thanks for the input!

  • Very Nice Video love the introduction

  • good to see a video from you

    good video

    Tommy

  • love the way youv combined the vids fantastic showcasing the best of the best there buddy

  • dammn your displays of your movingheads are visueel to the growd turn them around (at 5:13 to 5:35)

  • @2001611 Id rather see the display then the wires! I think I can program the display lights to turn off after a a few min. like they do no my Elations Heads.. but I dont feel it takes away from the show but maybe Im wrong

    MM

  • @directsound that`s a option but what i think kabels are black and de MH him self also in the party darkness you see kabels thet offen but yes you have a lot of lights on so maybe thats makes the difference, maybe use black gaffa tapa to gover the display?

  • Super vid as norm MM, Love the old school mirror balls with the moving heads, genius

    Ross -A1XDJS-
