Thanks from Italy! extremely good video, i think i'll open the LCD panel of my 20 inch 8.1 iMac... there is some grey "mold" inside, and the Apple Store told me it's very expansive to replace it.

Great video!! very helpful. Im wondering; would it be possible to use the iMac 24 intel (2007-2009) as a standalone monitor? If you leave the power supply to power the monitor, and use a DVI to LVDS converter from an external video card for the video signal.

I have have a 24 inch imac apple has replaced the hard drive,memory, and the logic board under warranty my imac is now having the same problems not starting or when it does every thing has a pink glow ran the hardware test hard drive good anyone know what the problem is
