Sang this song when I was junior concert choir and we shined on this. This rendition of the song is a bit more fast paced than what I sang but none the less the song has the spirit that I felt.

Does anyone know why the lyrics are different from the Sammy Davis, Jr. version? Was this the original broadway arrangement or did it get rewritten since the 60's for commercial choir use or something?

@greyham28 well seeing as a choir sang it they didnt find it polite/children friendly to sing "rhythm in the bedroom" and therefore changed the lyrics a tad to acomodate the religion. :) its not a half bad re-lyric if you ask me, but mehh its oppinion after all <3

I used to be in Choir (I was a soprano voice) and we were going to sing this song we practiced for about a week or so and I dropped my choir class to be a T.A. (teachers assistant) during that period. If I hadn't dropped it then I would have to come to the performance at 8:00 pm and wear a dress (i hate dresses I'm a tomboy) and also there was no way my mom could come (she's kinda busy.) Oh and if i didn't come then they would lower my grade to an "F" no matter what!!! So yeah...
