gsnap is just a plugin, you need a autotune-program to use gsnap. it's rare that these programs are free, but watch this video /watch?v=f-AJqBfDbzM and he shows you how to connect gsnap to a program called "wavosaur", which is free. so, in order:

1. download wavosaur at wavosaur . com

2. install it (i suppose you know how, ps you need winrar).

3. watch the video and he helps you with the rest :)

it's not the best autotune-program, but for being free it's absolutely ok :)

Well I have mixcraft and the auto-tune thing set up the gsnap plugin and I want to record music having the effect and it works but for some reason it auto-tunes the beat too and it sounds weird, Is there anyway I can just autotune my voice and have the effect without the beat having the auto-tune effect like just regular beat I choose play the same way

Although it's not gonna be 100 percent perfect, I added the same effect onto the vocals about 6 times in a row...the more I did it, the more it seemed to resemble the sound I was looking for...Hope this helps.

i'm trying to use the gsnap using those settings but it has this rediculous echo when i try to record. i hear the autotunes until it records and then there is this HUGE echo that throws me off. it never happened until i tried to use autotunes. then the track won't even play the vocals in the multitrack view. If you're having problems with the interface in audacity, you probably have v.1.2.6. Download the v.1.3.9 beta of audacity and copy the gsnap.dll file into your 1.3.9 plug-ins folder in program files. It should work great, then, and look normal.
