There was a treaty that Iraq made saying that it would allow WMD Inspectors into the country. Saddam suddenly stopped allowing them. That's why we went in. I have heard that it wasn't Saddam who stopped the inspectors but rather an impatient Bush who wanted things his way, issuing ultimatums, etc. I would need to research this more, though, since I have heard the Saddam theory before.
I just looked it up. It was our Security Council that shut down the UN weapons inspection program, and we would not let them back in after the invasion. Google under "Who stopped the WMD inspectors?" and go to the story on top.
It was also intel that stated their were WMD's in Iraq. Another way to get involved with stopping the war is preventing the shipment of weapons from your ports. If you live near a port, like I do, you can organize with people to block the roads and prevent dangerous shipments.

When Kucinich is walking towards the podium to speak before the house he shouldn't have to worry about how big and heavy his balls are. The democratic party should just shut up, put rosters together with teams of 4 congress people each and get Dennis get from point A to point B. Same for Ron Paul and his pathetic Republican party. the thing is that this is not germany, it is iraq, there is a difference between starting a war of agression for corporate gain and defending one self from agression. the sad things is, that there are people out there that actually believe in the iraqi invasion is similar to that of ww2 while the oil and military complex makes billion of dollars off of the american people.

Another way to get involved with stopping the war is preventing the shipment of weapons from your ports. If you live near a port, like I do, you can organize with people to block the roads and prevent dangerous shipments.
