  • this is such an unnatural movement and can usually only lead muscular imbalances and eventually to injury rather than help prevent it.....it's a good tool for rehabilitation but that's about it

  • i injured my knee (meniscus) and I can't press or squat and that sucks!!! can anyone shoot me some suggestions as to how can i keep or gain size on my legs? I would greatly appreciate it.

  • @kutulu6 I injured my meniscus about 2 weeks ago, for now just let it heal, but you will gradually wanna get back into stability/muscular endurance type stuff....wall sits, water jogging, straight leg raises, bridges, isometric contractions are all good to help maintain some strength in your legs but you don't wanna push it, do whatever you can handle without pain for now.

  • It's all very well having big muscles like that, but I bet the only activity you can do well with them is on the weight trainer. Probably useless at running or cycling.

  • dont do these... they can cause knee problems and knee injuries... squats are about 5000 times better... do squats insted

  • You can do 3 reps of 10-15.But as a almost daily biker and martial artist my legs are already quite build.Or Mountain running is very good;-)!

    i had my miniscus cartilage took out,

    i ripped it in the boxing gym ,

    i can never squat again , i cant leg press , i cant lunge , but i can do leg extensions and leg curls ,

    due to having 5 operations in 5 years , my right leg has wasted away and my left leg is like a bodybuilders leg, its 3 times bigger than my bad leg , ive started jogging but its not building my bad leg up , i want to get my legs looking equal again,

  • If you can do much more than 20 reps the weight is too light, whereas if you can't do 8 it's too heavy. 3 x 12 reps is always a safe bet.

    Personally I do 120kg. Not huge but I'm not a big guy.
