I remember this so well. Hard to believe it only lasted one season. I remember getting a couple of paperback novels made from synopses of episodes. Amazing how some of the best things are the obscure and forgotten.
Thank you for posting this. You made this old guy remember his younger days.
Wow, in the 70s kids had pocket knives without being crazed delinquents or murderers. They somehow learned that it was a too, not a weapon. They even knew some basic first aid. What the heck happened to self reliance for kids?
not for anything but you probably don't know what you're talking about. In the 60s and 70s (true enough that some 70s shows were awful) the shows were largely imaginative and you had to use your imagination and sort of get into the world that was created. Now, TV just copies itself over and over and relies on
special fx to create, which is not to say that's worse but there is LESS diversity and less imagination. YOu'd never find a show like THUNDER or even OCEAN GIRL (from the 90s) on today. It's all cheap sitcoms. UNless you live in Australia or some parts of Canada and athe UK (although the UK seems to be falling into the USA rut too on TV)

Self-reliance was replaced by 911 a long time ago.

wow, I have vague memories of this show. I don't believe it's something I watched on a regular basis, just caught it a few times. Thanks for posting.

Oh Man! That was awful! I'm glad I wasn't born when TV was like that.
