did mods ever go away? as far as i am concerned, i'ts the most self preserving and ever evolving movement since anyone and nothing ever tried. that's what being a mod is all about. i have a beautiful lambretta in my living room that might never ever move ,since i bought it .but my hearts still in the right place, just let my heart dance!!

The Chords are still great as a live band. Went to see them on stage with the Purple Hearts May 2010 in Belfast. I dont think they ever played NI during the 80's.

Why do you think the mod movement should be stuck in the 1960's? Mod- modernist means to be always to be looking forward not back! The bands of the late 70's where producing their own style of the modernist movement! I suggest you learn more about the true defintion of Mod, you are obviously un aware of its true meaning and its cultural meaning!

hershamgirl im not sure where you get your facts but mods were bigger in the 1980's than they were in the 60's,in the 60's mods were a cult in the late 70's early 80's mods were a way of life and if you say different then you either live outside Britain or you are too young to remember
